The rest of the kit installed as per instructions.
Probably this:

Swapping out the perrin for the kit mount and bushing eliminated the shifter linkage/driveline collision. Shifting is crisp, smooth, and QUICK. 5th and 6th feel stock throw surprisingly, but 1st through 4th... goooood lord what a difference. Even helped out with 2nd being a bitch when cold. Clocked 50 miles on the shifter post install where I tried hard braking in every gear- acceleration, slamming the bugger in there etc; care was still used to hopefully not break anything

Here's some pics taken with a potato that probably won't convey the point..

TRD Quickshifter and Perrin installed, to confirm I'm not pulling your leg

Ultra-detailed high fidelity breakdown of the issue area

You can barely make out the place where the linkage rod and knuckle of the driveline were rubbing. In person you can most definitely make out the place where they rubbed- bare steel on the rod and little knick of paint off the tip curls of each knuckle

Fully recommend this piece. Confirms what most others who installed it correctly (everyone but myself and @stockysnail apparently haha) have to say about it. Very smooth, OEM feel. Short shifts, smooth and buttery gates.. more force needed, but not excessive.

Will update after a couple thousand miles seat time with it

I used to have the Perrin rear shifter bushing with the TRD short shifter and it didn't feel right. Changing the shifter bushing for the TRD bushing and bracket feels a lot better as it relocates the rear carrier mounting point.

I had the bracket (Item 2) installed today. There is very little difference between the TRD bracket and OEM bracket. The TRD bracket assembly seems to hold the shift tower assembly slightly higher.

I didn't notice any change in the length of the gear throws after installing the part.

Regards

Just installed this. Got it for 156+tax. Not best deal probably.

Install took me about 3-4 hours. I did it all by putting my car on 2x4s and using jacks. Would be much easier with proper lift.

I also really recommend having an assortment of ratchet extensions, i had to improvise a bit and it was difficult.

My was really happy with the test drive. Throws are definitely shorter and they seem to pop into gear much more firmly.

I had a gear lever rattle, after installing this the rattle is gone ! I think the bolt provides a more secure connection to the gear lever.

Just had this installed on Friday. I am not sure how I feel about it yet.
The throws are pretty dang short indeed, nice job of engineering. I can't help but feel like the msrp could be a little lower as they achieved their goal with the use about about $5 of parts. but I digress...
Also the feel is very tight and notchy now. It will loosen up slowly over time, im sure, but at its current state, I'm not sure if I can actually shift a gear quicker because there is a little more resistance to motion now.

I think mine either went away after about a month, or I got used to it. I still shift with only my fingertips, and I've had it for about 10k miles now.

Did your notchy shifting go away yet? I might try putting on some MTEC springs and hope it's smoother. Or Motul oil seems to be another option

I'm about to go to the track this weekend but recently I've been getting a TON of slack in the shifter. I've re-tightened the bolt probably 4-5 times now, using bolt paste every time. Very concerning at the moment, not sure if you're having the same problem.

It does seem to have loosened up a bit, I'm still counting on it getting looser though. Still not sure if I am actually faster at shifting with this kit.
