Maybe. The only way to know is to try. I believe the tighter woindingd sould be at the top. I don't have the springs to confirm. I have Swift Spec R's.

+1 for tightening suspension with the weight on the wheels.

How many miles have you had on the car since installation? The springs do settle a bit. Also, note the installation instructions. IIRC, they recommend specific spacing between the spring seat "stop" when building the coilover. The spacing probably gives room for the springs to settle and prevent bind.

Well I'm not sure how many miles but I'll make sure they have space. But they shouldn't stay stock height. Ugh lol

By tightening the bolts with the suspension fully extended you are creating a condition in many bushings that resists the compression of the suspension (due to the fact that the rubber bushings must twist as the suspension compresses). This raises ride height.

There is only one bushing in the front that would contribute to this effect, in the rear there are 8 (per side). End link lower, lca inner, strut lower, toe rod inner, lateral arm front and rear, and both inner upper control arm bushings.

OK so should I also loosen the top of the strut?

You should take some pictures. Of the car and the springs mounted.

If it were my car, I'd pull the wheels off, check the color and orientation of the springs... then put a torque wrench on every bolt accessible (following the service manual's recommended torques).

Drive the car for a couple days, and re-check the torque. Twisting on the bushings is a thing... but it shouldn't stay too bound-up after a little driving.

BTW, if you're talking about loosening the top nut, just make sure there are plenty of threads engaged. This is no fun:

Was that in my list?

"twisting on the bushings is a thing... but it shouldn't stay too bound-up after a little driving." - No matter how much you drive it is still twisting the bushing the same amount. After time the bushing can stretch and deform (which is bad) and that may allow it to settle. You're asking for bushing damage though.

OK basically tighten everything once the car is on the ground. Got it!

OK guys, I tightened everything and I'm gonna let it sit for a week. However now I hear squeaking going on every time I go over some bump. Any ideas!
