TRD Springs question

Ok, so i installed TRD springs about 2 weeks ago. The front end lowered, however the back end did not. I compared it to a lowered stock FRS on the same springs at the dealership. The guys at the shop and I reinstalled them about 3 times and nothing, we think its just that there is no weight in the back. What do you guys think? Anyone have this issue?

It has nothing to do with weight in the back, and if the shop thinks so then I suggest you find a new shop.

do you have any pics?

I do not but the rear height is the same as stock...

I have no idea, unless the shop didnt install the rear springs..:iono:

it just doesnt make any sense, especially since the trd's are just rebranded eibach's.. did you buy new or used?

Tal 04-02-2015 08:35 PM

I bought new, and I was right there with them when installing happened because I work there, do you think it just needs to be compressed more?

I'm seriously not trolling. Like it's been bothering me so much.

Try and post pictures of how your car sits when you can!

OK, but i did use a tape measure and its stock height in the back, it pisses me off.

is the rear spring seated in its perch properly?

Nickel 04-03-2015 03:33 AM

Mine are different on my 2013. The car is lower but it almost looks like the rear is lower than the front. Maybe give them time to settle and see what happens?

I'd make sure they're seated properly, and also validate it is the TRD springs installed and not the stock ones. It would be really hard to install them so wrong that it's riding an inch too high.

I think thy were installed upside down so the spring isn't seated. I can't iamgine anything else. Unless the tightened everything without weight on the car so all the bushings are binding way too early.

Put everything together by hand then make sure the full weight of the car is on the suspension before you torque it to spec.

The tight wound coil is facing up not Down. And I'll loosen everything lower the car and tighten everything again. You think that'll fix it?
