I like Utica Coffee quite a bit (local roaster, gotta support them) but when I buy their beans at the store they don't have a roast date posted anywhere I can see, so I have no idea how old the beans are. They do have a subscription service but they charge a lot for shipping considering I live about 20-30 minutes away from them. Counter Culture charges $3 for shipping and I get my beans within 2-3 days of roasting, so I know they're fresh. I'm on CCC's single-origin subscription, so I get two 12oz bags every 3 weeks for not much more than I paid for Utica Coffee beans at the supermarket. Their coffee is fantastic.
I grind on a Baratza Encore grinder and typically make espresso with a Saeco Aroma machine, but I do have a French Press, Aeropress, and a 6-cup moka pot as well. Depends on the mood. I have an upgraded portafilter coming for the espresso machine coming sometime this week, pretty excited about that. And yes, unless I'm making a cappuccino or a latte coffee is best black. Good coffee doesn't need anything else. |

I love the new Toyota car smell and 25+ year old Toyota car smell...
My friend hates it and compares it to an old people having sex smell... Not sure how he'd know how they smell...but he compares it to that. p.s. coffee smell is nice, but after a while it just gets to me.

OP I know you posted seeking props for them seats, and I'mma let you finish… But I prefer the smell of leather-bound books and rich mahogany.

I swear by these guys for coffee.
http://redbirdcoffee.com/collections/coffee-selections There 5lbs with free shipping is a bargain imo. Usually order any of their Ethiopia offerings and their Red Bird Espresso blends are awesome as well. |
