Cold start sounds raspy I admit ...but, weird, once warm, and during the "blips," it actually sounds very nice. Wow.

Another reason I don't like bassy exhs - it sounds too artificial. Yes, they sound nice, but what I mean is that most of them sound like the "exhaust" is making that nice sound...and not the car/engine itself.

All the stock exh + catless header vids so far sound like a sports car coming straight from the factory/dealer lot - a tad louder under WOT and cold start, maybe a little mid/high pitched; but definitely not overly deep. Ie: Porsches, Ferraris, etc...they aren't "deep"..they are pretty high/mid-pitched when WOT, but at the same time, relatively quiet otherwise. And that's what I like.

In reality all mufflers are artificial sounding... if you wanted the engines true noise, you need a straight pipe system

I agree with all of the aforementioned posts that a catless header with a stock exhaust system, is unbearably quiet--it's great for cruising and commuting but terrible when you want to hear some drama when you down shift. I've since realized that the tone/rumble you can get is to simply replace the header and axleback with aftermarket ones; in other words, leave the stock over pipe, front pipe, and mid pipe on for reduced rasp and drone. I say so because I previously had an unresonated Cat back, M7 T-Titan, and paired with an UEL Header, it was loud and raspy a fuck. It wasn't necessarily awful, but just loud during cold starts. Since removing the M7, I've came to the conclusion that for the smoothest and most bang for the buck rumble/growl would be just to replace the axleback with something like a Greddy Elite SP, Top Speed-1 Axleback, or go with a custom axleback.

Here's a sound clip with the custom axle back by a forum member:

It sounds super tame and smooth with the perfect pitch and tone, in my opinion.

it sounds great inside. I am still probably going to get an exhaust system though, something quiet.

Check it out, I love the sound. I think the Stock catback is just fine paired with Berk OP/FP and UEL Header
