Be careful for what you wish for. All my life I wanted a 427 AC Cobra. 5 years ago I was in the position to make my dream come true. I picked up a perfect cobra (ERA) for a real good price. While being probably the most beautiful car ever built is was a nightmare to drive.
To be authentic, it had the old bias ply goodyears, the same tires they raced on in 1965. It was a brute to drive, unless you were on new super smooth road you were always fighting it one way or the other. No power steering, no power brakes, and no AC. It was so missarablely hot we never took it out above 70 degrees. Very unforgiving on the track, understeer into a turn, oversteer out. And spin on you faster than you could blink an eye. I have nothing but respect for the guys that actually raced them.

While it was a dream come true, I much like my FRS for driving, and tracking for that matter. So follow your dreams, you only live once, but be prepared for the outcome.

An FD RX7 powered by a 2.2L SR20VET or F22C + a turbo instead of the rotary frankenstein time attack car with heaps of aero.

SR22VET powered S15 with custom subframes & double wishbone suspension + aero.

Time attack version of my S2000 with Voltex aero, a turbo, and V160 transmission.

A man can dream.

Second will be the Datsun 240z, I know it's outside the 80-90's range but still... it's a gorgeous car. I was actually planning to buy a garaged, 1 owner, all original parts 240z within Texas when I sold my previous car on Dec 2014 but somehow the BRZ grabbed my attention and it doesn't hurt to have modern conveniences. Will probably get a 240z as my mid-life crisis vehicle.

oh lawd. k, pardon a possibly long post?

-1998 toyota supra with a toyota tundra 3UR-FE bored and stroked from 5.7 to 6.2 liters. sequential setup, a BW7163 for spool and a BW9180 for power, all the goodies alacart (looking at roughly ~2000 whp) http://www.speedhunters.com/2011/10/..._racing_supra/

-1993 RX7 stripped, built NA 4 rotor, straight piped, so much aero that it looks like it will have its own gravity, veilslide bodykit (gotta look like Han from F&F right?), cage...you know the usual. (roughly ~600 NA whp) already posted this in another thread but...[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yFUiaNTQJs"]4 Rotor Rx7 Track Break-in. Limited 7k RPM. Defined Autoworks - YouTube[/ame]

-1992 MR2 GT-S turbo, either K20 swapped with the works and a large single, or a stroked F22C (stroked into a F24 or F26) with a medium single. (roughly 400-450 whp)

-1999 S2000, F22C swap with AP2 taillights, built engine and medium single, looking for ~350-400 whp. Original hardtop.

-1997 Subaru GC8 Impreza 22B with a built (and stroked to .3L larger inlcuding valvtrain overhaul) FA20DIT swap and a PI/DI hybrid injection system with 8,500 redline. re-built STi 6-spd with Cusco LSD, passive aggressive aero. Recaro seats (yes I will have a passenger, only 1), roll cage, 22B side panels, rear wing and OEM badges. BW 7163 twin scroll with methanol injection, putting down 500 whp with spool to best OEM Penske shocks with Eibach custom spring rates and billet aluminum sub frame. Enkei RS055R 18x8 or 9.5 whichever they have the smallest in, wrapped in Michelin Pilot sport Cup 2's, custom short shifter and Raceng camber plates.

You can tell which one I want the most.

My last RX-7 project haunts me since I was forced to sell. 20b single turbo FC3S. Had just got the engine back from rotary ressurection for a complete rebuild and street port and finished redoing all the bodywork (myself) dupont's snow white with almost every part on the car I could still buy OEM being full price and new. I spent almost $500 on weatherstripping and seals alone. For me this was the first car that no expense was spared. $200 FTP lenses???? YES!

Sadly after a colossal fuck up by my (at the time) employer on my tax return. (Found out I didn't actually work there until I filed my taxes) I had to sell quickly to pay fines and what I owed the govt quickly and for way less than I had in it. I sold the body with interior and a running 13bt in it for less than 2k.

The selling of this project ultimatly led my to looking at the twins so there is a bit of a silver lining. But, everytime I see a RX online my heart sinks and I hate myself. I vow to return to the RX-7 market after the brz... next time I think I'm going full race interior and doing a bright, loud, out-of-my-way koi orange!

Final Pictures after demoding, and moving from my garage to the new owner.

I also would like to build an older Datsun 280z w/flares. Tuck/shave the bumpers and give it some updated/thowback vintage racing livery. High reving, straight NA with pollished ITBs. Perfect canidate for a restomod!

I also wouldn't say no to a mkiv supra or fd rx-7 though if I could afford to build those cars you'd likely find me off looking at modern supercars.

I'm scrapping two next month, 91' RX7 and 84' Skyline RS. I need to make room for the inbound BRZ and focus on the 94' GT-R.
