I thought I read that the +45 rubs somewhere in the front at full lock and it couldn't be avoided...

Yes, I ended up going with 255 tires and +45 wheels. It rubs at full lock. I can live with that.

Is -2 degrees front camber possible with the +35s and 245/40 Michelin pss? How close would it be to the spring/strut lowered on eibach prokit?

I think +35 is better

Depends on your camber and tire size.

Why not just get +35 so you won't have any of the limitations on +45?

I second the +35 suggestion. From an aesthetic standpoint (disclaimer: MY opinion) it looks better, the rear wheel isn't sunken in to the fender like a +45. Any poke in the front can be addressed with extra camber.

From a functional standpoint, you have the option of fitting a BBK behind the wheel down the road, but more importantly, rubbing issues in the front are minimized. At worst, the only rubbing you'll run into will be induced by a huge tire (e.g., 255s with stock spring perches).

I fit 245/40 rs3s on completely stock suspension fine with +45, but you can't run any more camber than stock spec. I've done 3 autoxs with them with no issues aside from wanting more camber.
