Very nice to see something different on this board. Do you have any videos of her running @Manji?

No yet. My friend who is doing the work had to go on to other projects but will be back into mine on Thursday.

In the mean time, (and for those you question the 1UZ) here's a play list of some vids that convinced me.

I was actually going to go 2GR until a friend pointed out the inherit problem with all V6's - A you'll eventually get to the point where you wish it was a V8.

Awesome to see some hot-rods going together. The car would really benefit from some torque.

I mentioned it before but it bears repeating...the board is going to need a swap forum. Somewhere where the "You ruined the perfect balance and soul of the machine" crowd does not venture.

Funny thing abut the LS swaps, they seemed to have dropped off the map after they were completed. I have not seen any in actual motion.

This is an extreme idea, but not impossible.

In olden days (1979 - 1980) several hundred Triump TR7 were stuffed with a V8 engine and sold as TR8, but most of them were 3-speed automatic. And by English standard (or the lack thereof), the TR8 was not any more problematic than the TR7.

Given enough time , effort, and money, it is possible to stuff a Toyota V8 into a FT-86. It may be cheaper and much easier to get a Porsche Cayman GTS, instead. But no one is talking about practicality here.

I am just in awe of the technical and engineering expertise to pull off such a feat.

How are the changes to the driving characteristics? Big and "heavy" engine like this should raise the center of gravity up right?

My thoughts too. Those dudes were swapping 1UZs into 240s long before I ever saw someone do it stateside.

Keep up the great work! Can't wait to hear it run!

I heard the CV joints are usually the second things to go on the BRZ besides the normal obvious. May help you plan for the future.
