Yep, the same coverage I have on my CL.
$500 deductibles, $100k/$300k for liability and uninsured. I believe that works out to about $2300 for both cars for the year. The one ticket and my age really hurt my premiums. Keep in mind I dont live in a city.

Be careful though -- while they based it on the purchase price of the vehicle, you have to assume that they keyed everything else in properly (bodystyle, engine specs, level of performance, etc.). If they didn't, the actual rate is going to change a lot, which could happen during underwriting.

That's a pretty good price, but at your/our age (we're within a couple years of each other), it would be worth considering better coverage limits than just the state minimums. Colorado's minimum requirements are 25/50/15 -- it's higher than a lot of other states' minimum requirements, but it really doesn't cover much. Obviously you don't plan on getting in any car accidents, but at 31, you probably have accumulated assets (whether your bank account, your car or a home) that you need to protect, plus higher coverages likely won't cost you much more compared to if you were 16. At least go up a notch to 50/100/50, though 100/300/100 would be even better and probably still wouldn't cost you an arm and a leg. |
