I have a Nokia Lumia 800, fits well in that little center area under the audio screen. I even have a gum pack there and phone fits nicely on top

Just bought one of those Neo Grab holders for $19.99 free shipping on eBay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390627385121

Looks great for our cars in multiple locations and the mounting piece sticks to damn near anything it looks like, AND it's not permanent. I'll be using this for Torque, nav, and video recording mountain runs and track days.

This is what I do as well. Slide the cup holders as far forward as possible leaves a nice slot for the phone to sit in. Fits my iPhone 5 just fine.

I have an HTC ONE (had the GSIII before) and it fits perfectly in the little cubby under the HVAC controls.

I forgot one place...

When I'm using my phone as a GPS I sometimes lay it between "the humps" on the dash. It has a rubberized otter case on it, and it sits there perfectly unless I am driving aggressively.

It does it to my phone regardless if it's charging or not, but that does explain how my Note 3 sets it off and not a 50lbs box that I put in the passenger seat weekly. I was so confused for the longest time lmao.

Uhhhh... Isn't there an airbag behind where that thing is mounted? I'm thinking that's not a good spot.

I thought the same thing initially, but that's not where the airbag is mounted. It actually deploys from the top of the dash and wraps over it. The mount would still be in the way of the airbag, but it would be deflected down and not right into the passenger's face.

Look at 3:50 in this video:

Somehow I've missed that footage - I've never seen the crash from beneath like that. Wild stuff.
