They said it was the first they had heard of this issue, and asked me to measure the thickness of the factory flange and the bolt hole diameter, and will try to source longer bolts.

I'll post again when I have more information.

Ace hardware. Grade 8 bolts $10.

Seeing the driveshaft fly out of a 450 hp 75-Camaro and attack a pack of street racing onlookers - Priceless!

Looks like that bolt has already loosened based on the torque marks.

And Grade 8 bolts from Ace hardware are just as good as any other grade 8 bolt you can find (except for maybe Chinese ebay).

And WAIT! You are dissing Ace Hardware bolt quality, but youd rather drive around with half of a nut's thread engagement???

Mcmaster doesn't ship to Canada any more unless you are a big company that was already making orders through them. It is the worst thing to happen to Canada ever (cuz I can't think of anything worse that has happened up here)

Pogoed on a shaft once and although I laughed about it later I don't mind confessing I almost had to change my pants at the time.

2 threads fully through is very much the standard in all manufacturing. Probably hold forever but may fail on the first hard launch.

Torque marks: there's only a 25% chance that that nut came from that location before I unbolted it...

Driving around: never said I was driving around like this...

Did anyone have trouble getting those 4 bolts off?
I been trying for over an hour, and looks like I'm about to strip the bolt... Sigh...

Does anyone know if these driveshaft bolts needs to be partially threaded? or can be fully threaded. If anyone knows the right length of the bolt to buy for Carbon driveshaft or aluminum driveshaft please let me know! thanks
