Camber adjustment
I'm installing my @Vorshlag camber plates today then supposed to take it to toyota tomorrow for the alignment. My guess is they're going to put it to stock alignment? I dont know anything about alignments and stuff i just need to know whats are good specs for a DD that i drive spirited every now and then but wont kill my tires. If anyone knows that'd help a lot. Thanks

Why buy camber plates and take to dealer for a stock alignment?
Why mess with alignment if you just street your car and not looking for anything in particular? What is wrong with your stock alignment without camber plates? Why not try OEM camber bolt first before camber plates?

@ZionsWrath i have rubbing issues from my wheels. i have 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 in the back. After putting my ST coilovers on my camber is positive, i couldn't install camber bolts cause theyre a pain in the ass and i wasnt gonna pay an arm and a leg for install.

Camber bolts is just taking the wheels off and replacing one bolt, hardly a pain in the ass compared to camber plates. It sounds like maybe take a step back from modding and learn a couple things about your car before just buying parts and making changes? Not trying to insult or anything, just trying to help approach your situation from the right angle.

ST coilovers have built in camber adjustment in the front on one mounting points (enough to go from positive to negative). My guess is you have them set all the way in the positive direction. The camber plates were prob a waist of money.

If you mean slotted, he just said camber bolts were a waste. A slotted hole is VERY similar to a camber bolt. Instead putting a smaller bolt through the hole, make a wider hole to adjust against the bolt.

Thank you guys for your info but me and my buddy (who knows his stuff) could not get the camber adjusted. 3 shops couldn't get the camber adjusted up front.
@ZionsWrath Im +42 front 235/40/18 and +35 rear 245/35/18 I'm not slammed nor do i want to be. me and my buddy just got the plates on and everything is way better up front. I totally thought i went with 225 up front, probably should've haha. Zion thanks man for your info, yes i am still somewhat new to this. |

what do you mean you couldnt "get the camber adjusted up front"
What alignment specs are you trying to achieve? The factory specs/rec. aren't exactly ideal... |

As per everyone else here i am surprised you needed camber plates. But anyway you have them now. I would have thought 1.5 - 2 degrees with no toe in would be a good place to start for a DD.

Something doesn't sound right if you couldn't get it close to 0 with ST coils unless the reason they couldn't is because of clearance issues between the wheel and spring, which shouldn't be the case given your offset and tire size.
I could see not being able to get completely to zero from the negative side, but I can't see you having so much positive they couldn't get it to zero or into the negative.
