I see. Mine cost me 60 for front and back so yeah. Worked well. Went through five track days so far and counting. No problems yet.

$.02 I have tracked cars with bolt on spacers and have never had an issue and currently run 25mm rear and 17mm front ichiba hubcentric bolt on spacers that have been on the car for 30k of hard driving and a few track days and autox's and haven't had an issue. Also, porsche puts bolt on spacers on some of their cars from the factory and some porsche guys run bolt ons as big as 3" and track the cars without an issue.

My issue isn't with running bolt on spacers, it's that I already have ARP extended wheel studs that would not be able to work with bolt on spacers.

Well turns out the spacers that were sent to me were the Eibach 25mm bolt on. SpeedFactory says there was some miscommunication when they were checking the spacers. As far as I can tell there is no one makeing a 25mm slip on style spacer, just the bolt on style.
This should work just fine but now I have to press out the studs that come installed on the spacer. |

Just installed V3 Spacers Hubcentric 20mm fr & 25mm rr. For the most part I did it for looks as they finish the car off very well and gives it a more aggressive look. What I'm not so sure at this point, driving it for a couple days now, is the effect it has on the steering and ride.....minute differences but noticeable to me. The steering is a tad bit heavier but not where as you don't feel confident in cornering...it still corners amazingly. I feel the bumps and cracks in the road more as well....not sure if I can get over this. I feel like this one is going to drive me nuts. Gonna drive it for a few more days before making a decision to take them off.....we'll see.

It could also be a placebo, where you think you're feeling new sensations but it's only because you're looking for something to be different so you're more perceptive to everything. I'm not calling you out or anything, but personally I felt little to no difference, same tires, same wheels, just offset. The only geometric difference I feel would even be perceptible would be scrub radius, which might have the effect of heavier steering depending on the alignment. |
