It basically came down to Canada not having enough buying power/initial volume. So i think subaru japan said "we'll make a Cdn spec BRZ for you in 4 colors, you choose". I suppose you could rationalize and say the World rally blue is a given, Black and white are staples, Silver is a Mid-tone between the white and black. As nice as the DGM is..its so dark some people mistake it for black. Also, it wouldn't make sense for the 4th color to be silica, because of WRB, and red is maybe too polarizing, a love it or hate it color...subaru canada probably wanted to play it safe, hence...1 Color..and 3 shades of Safe =D I would Bet money that the '14 Canadian BRZ will mix up the Colors, replace one with another, or add another if volume increases.

If I was getting a BRZ it would be WRB for sure it look so nice and distinct. As soon as you see that colour you know it's a Subaru kinda like the Ferari red

So with 13% HST the OTD price is roughly:
FRS: $31100 BRZ Premium: $32700 BRZ Limited: $35000 I'm really torn between all three. I have preorders in for an FR-S and BRZ-P. The limited is probably the worst value and yet I make enough money that it's not out of the question. It would be cool to have push button start and the Alcantra/leather interior. The spoiler is a turn off though. The first BRZ shipment to my dealer is a White BRZ Premium which I told him I want. Bloody hell this is tough decision. I honestly believe the brz sport-tech is a GREAT value when compared to a FRS. But comparing a sporttech to a brz premium, the value is less evident. what it comes down to for me is, i love the alcantara(loved it on the sti), the push button/auto climate cleans up the interior nicely , foglights that ill buy either way and my girlfriend likes her butt preheated..:p the alarm is a bonus too note: Ive had both the sti alcantara AND the new wrx cloth..which looks damn similar to brz premium cloth. I have to say, the cloth is a huge downgrade is comfort, appearance and durability

Thanks for your impression on the Alcantra vs Cloth debate. The switch gear is definitely ghetto on the non-limited and my hatred for the silver plastic dash knows no bounds. It reminds me of my G35 Coupe which is never a good thing (Horrible car!).

![]() What year G35 Did u have The 2003-04's interiors were terrible..the 05-07 was a huge step up, to average =p. I had a '09 G37 sedan, i thought the interior was pretty classy at the time. And i strongly suggest going Sport Tech..you're not likely to regret spending a little more..but you're likely to regret "cheaping out" =D

You may be surprised by the attractiveness of the BRZ's front end once you see it in person. Especially if it has a license plate on it.
If you've already seen it in person and still don't like the look, nevermind. :P |

Same. I think part of it is the angle. Looking down at the 'mustache' makes it less noticeable, plus in-person you see it's textured and for some reason that seems to make it more subdued.
I quite prefer the looks of the BRZ now over the FR-S.

Saw the car (FR-S) in person last night, and spent some time inside. The faux carbon-fibre looks a lot better in person, I quite liked it - especially in comparison to the fake metal in the BRZ. And the seat fabric is OK, but definitely not upscale. Dash looked MUCH better with the upgraded LCD HU. IP looked fantastic at night when lit up - clean white dial lettering, I much prefer it to the BRZ's red.

To be honest, I did not like my experience at Richmond Subaru today. The sales manager pulled all of my information (credit card & license) but did not give me a receipt - he said that he will e-mail me the receipt in a couple of days once the credit card has been processed. Also, it was verbally agreed upon that the deposit was refundable - however, not written down which is what I would have preferred knowing that I have another refundable deposit at another subaru dealer for a WRB BRZ Limited 6MT and another Scion Dealership for a whiteout FR-S. I also asked the sales manager about financing rates for the car - it should be 3.9-5.9 which are really high. At that price, percent, and with 0 down, I am looking at paying 647.87-680.11/mo. I still want to get a pricing quote for the insurance to see if i'll be fine as I am also financing another car at the same time. If it gets too hairy for me as this is a HUGE WANT (not a need), then I might have to admit that i am out.
