Market adjustments and over inflating the price is pretty rare in Canada. Common in the US, but not so much here. My 06 Si was considered a rare and high demand car when they first came out, but I still only paid MSRP for it.
Also, if a dealer is only getting a certain amount, they can easily do a dealer trade or source one from a dealer that may have extras or unsold ones. They may be a very popular car with all of us, but aside from this forum, its really just another car to most people. In a smaller town or a low volume dealer, they may sit on the lot until someone stumbles onto it. Small, sporty cars really arent all that popular in Canada period. I wonder where the twins will fall on a list like this? http://www.goodcarbadcar.net/2012/01...-december.html |

Almost gave me a heart attack. The codes in that PDF are all messed up...
At the top it says the auto premium is DV1SS, then on page 3 it says the 6MT sport tech is DV1SS (which is what my order confirmation from the dealer says it is). My order confirmation came with the color 2C20, which according to the PDF is WRB for the premium and isn't available on the DV1SS

Just an FYI, I asked my salesman about the price, expressing my concern about being charged over MSRP, he was appalled at hearing that others have done this and reassured me that I'm not paying a cent over MSRP and all other charges will be standard, no gouging.

Why not just ask your dealers what they are expecting final cost to be? So that you know what extras they are planning on charging.

half the time, the salesperson probably doesn't get a cent of those fees - it's all gobbled up by the dealer.

My dealer told me multiple times that I'll be paying msrp + 50$ for registration, can't wait to see the contract in person.

anyone else slightly bummed that we won't get DGM?
after watching the video from Subaru though, the silver is growing on me (despite the fact that silver is generally played out now that every family-hauler and econobox is thusly coloured)... i wonder what was the rationale for holding back that colour? |
