Maybe I should tell my insurance? How much do you think it'd go up by?
Unless you're willing to pay about 2.5x what you're paying now, then don't do it.

I personally like the EL headers more than the UEL headers since I am not worried about the "boxer rumble" and find the EL headers equal amount of stress on all cylinders btw

The 86 motor has shown to be surprisingly stout, but even with that, there have been numerous failures from stock cars (as can be expected from a new platform) and there are other things still being discovered like random and without warning VVT failures.

That Honda, motor and transmission are leaps and bounds more bulletproof than our cars.

Forget about raising the Rev limiter on our cars, you are just asking for really bad trouble.

I know we all have our opinions/love/hates and I respect them all, its just IMHO, the S2K is a better overall car.

On the HP car vs. car front, I made 550 whp stock motor, and rarely take it over 500 because right then and there is the limit where you are playing russian roullete with the tranny and motor and either might pop at any time while a friend made 726 WHP on a stock S2K, detuned to 690 WHP to keep it safe.....

Let that sink in for a bit....

I know HP is not the end all be all, I'm just offering a different point of discussion since the track capabilities of the car were heavily discussed in the video.
The S2000 motor is built better without question, BUT there is no way the S2000's diff or tranny is going to last for long at 690whp. Not a chance. Some people manage to destroy both at 400 even with a supercharger (less torque). High power drag cars use the V160 tranny, just like the FRS/BRZ.

Hahaha. I never ever expected to see a Carl Sagan pic on this forum.

Realistically, I am tired of this S2K vs FRS/BRZ/86 debate. This is like the 20th thread on the subject. I'd like to see more FRS/BRZ/86 vs 240sx or RX7 talks. After all, those cars are even older than the S2000 and still extremely competitive platforms.

Some people manage to destroy both with a stock NA motor.

240SX is super easy to drive and modify. The chassis is stupid flexible, but the platform itself is still capable. It just goes to show that a nice, affordable rear wheel drive car can go demolish newer cars these days. The wheelbase on the 240SX also screams turbo too. If the setup on the S2k was similar to the 86 and 240SX, turbo would be a great way to go too.

RX7 is the turbo RWD to have like S2000 is the NA RWD to have.

RX7 & S2000 are one of the few cars ever produced with double wishbone suspension all around too.

I wish all production sports cars were equipped with double wishbones at every corner. haha. It just feels BETTER.

I believe the FRS has the longest wheelbase out of all of these cars, if I remember correctly.

It's also the reason why it's insanely easy to drive. It definitely takes the right type of tuning to extract a lot out of the car. The chassis is extremely stable so it's really hard to spin out or lose it.
