If I'm not mistaken, Shiv doesn't make changes to betas once they are released to the public unless something is seriously wrong (which there shouldn't be). Most of the changes have long since been made while he was doing closed beta testing. Any new changes will probably be released under a different version number.

It just has the beta designation mostly because its only available for the USDM market atm and will lose the beta designation once he starts releasing it to the various other International CalIDs.

At least that's what I've noticed from the past map releases.

Ohhhhh okay awesome ! Thanks for that input ! Btw idk if uou know this but how do you clear CEL codes ? For ex I wanna run a catless header but if I have to bring my car to the dealer I want to put the tune to stock and then be able to clear the CEL after it comes on ... How would I be able to do this on the OFT

There's a section for checking codes on the OFT and from there you can clear them. Depending on what model catless header you have, you may or may not get a CEL, but honestly if you are going to go to the dealer with a catless header, why even bother reflashing to stock?

What variables changed between runs? Were they back to back? Can always try erasing, reflasing, and relearning.

Just flashed 2.01 EL E85 today and have not had any issues after about 30 miles. The 1.59 E85 map is the first I used and the relearn process for that was far overdone. Today I let her idle until my coolant temp was about 190 (5m maybe) and drove approximately 2 miles before a WRX turbo (non STI) kept messing with me. Not only did I abandon my relearn, but managed to pull away nicely on him too. It only took a few min for dead pedal to pass (Key on Ign off procedure after tune). Also, STF/LTF balanced quickly. Honestly, it seemed to be much smoother than the last tune in all areas. Even the writing time seemed faster. For me, there is a noticeable difference between both E85 EL tunes and I have a stock manifold. Hope to get in some runs soon at ICC. Anyone close to Omaha should come out! Its no 86Fest, but we have tons of E85! They don't call us Corn Huskers for nothing

I was concerned about this. If I take my car in with the OFT tune, and the dealer flashes the ecu with a newer factory tune revision, Would my OFT still recognize the car? or would the OFT be married to a car that no longer exists?

Flash back to stock before taking it in or tell them not to touch it because it is tuned.

+1 on what @s2d4 said.

The main reason to flash back to stock is so you could then erase oft and download the updated dealer tune as your stock tune in the protected slot in the oft.

So if you ever sold your oft or car you would be able to flash back the latest rom calibration instead of the outdated one your car came with.

The oft tunes are based on the later rom calid so its all ok from that angle currently B01C for usa/canada

To umarry just flash back your stock tune to oft then you need to connect oft to pc running ofm with internet connection and use the erase function in open flash manager then your umarried.

If you jist flash back to stock it not unmarried but you ready to unamrry if dealer reflashes tune to you car. either the dealer will tell you of you can connect oft and use diagnostics to read your calid to see if its changed. If you have already flashed to stock then do full erase with ofm and marry up to new calid. If no change just flash your tune back.
But if you dont flash to stock before dealer reflashes your stuck with your old rom in the oft

The problem comes in, when I get my OFH(hopefully next week). I would prefer they didn't know I was tuned, so they don't log it and use it against me later if I had a synchro problem, or that cam timing issue or whatever, and blame it on my tune. (I know I could fight it, but it seems better to follow the "don't ask, don't tell" policy) But with the OFH it will throw a code without the tune. So If I just left it as is, and never said anything, unless they were looking for a problem they would probably never notice the header, much less the tune... I trust the dealership about as far as I can throw it, and If they went ahead and flashed without asking, would I have to send in my oft to shiv to have it unmarried or would I still be OK?

*edit: ok thanks steve, that's what I was afraid of. It still might be a remote possibility, but too costly of one to chance it. I may have to look into one of those mini cats that screws into the o2 port.

Flashed the Stage 2 EL E85 and went for a drive. Feels like there has been a real improvement below 4k. The induction noise is still there (for me, anyway) but it sure does sound more refined. The torque dip is still there, but is even less noticable, and once above five k it's not shy about heading for redline. Nice work!
