Will this fit??

I'm running some XXR 527 18x8.75 +20 offset all around on stock suspension. It looks ok but I want to lower it, so I ordered some eibach sportline springs and I wanted to know if there anything that I need to fit my wheels correctly with out any rub or would I have to go back to stock wheels with amount of drop?

18x9.5 +45 question

Hi Guys

I'm looking at the TWS T66-F wheels in 18x9.5" +45 like in this thread http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1590407 by @switchlanez with the same 255/35/18 tires.

But, he has stock suspension while I have TRD coilovers lowered about 1"

I am currently running 18x7.5" +21 (actually +46 but with 25mm spacers) and according to the wheel fit calculator the 18x9.5 +45 will sit 49.4mm closer to my suspension.

My tyre shop has said that this 49.4mm will mean the wheel or tire is likely to hit my coilover as the wide part of the stock suspension sits above the wheel and the coilover is wider lower down.

Is this correct or will these wheels fit with my TRD coilovers?

Then I need to work out if they will fit over my TRD BBK in the front - any ideas whether they will? I have a wheel fit diagram but need to print on B5 paper that I don't have.

I do not have stock suspension. I have ST Coilovers which are identical to KW V1 except made of galvanized steel (not stainless like the V1, though the TRD Griffon's coilovers are custom KW in galvanized steel). My car is lowered to the midpoint of KW's recommended 20-50mm spec range at 35 mm (1.4"). Like with any other coilover, they should fit with TRD coilovers if yours are thinner than stock struts/springs. I believe yours are rebranded Tokico units.

99.99% will fit TRD BBK. A .01% uncertainty because I haven't seen them physically but these wheels were made to clear BBKs of major manufacturers with lofty clearance (thin spokes flush with rim and deep lug pocket to square out clearance around BBK).

Also, the TWS rim would fit 1" + 1mm further from your hub than your TRD's. That combined with a face designed for BBKs tells me you will have more clearance than your TRD wheels lend you.

Thanks. I was worried as the TWS 18x8.5" say on their spec sheet that they are designed for "big callipers" while the 9.0" and 9.5" seem to have an (R) after them possibly indicating "rear" on this sheet http://www.tws-forged.com/tws_t66-f.html

Of course thinking about it you are correct in that the wheels will sit 1.4mm further out and with the shape of the spokes they do look like there's plenty of room.

If I take the 25mm spacers out of the equation these wheels will sit 24.4mm closer to my suspension than the TRD 7.5" wheels. That's only an inch - surely I have that much room. Tempted to take the spacers out and get it on the hoist for another measurement.

The 2015 WRX uses the 5x114 bolt pattern so no they will not fit as the BRZ/FRS stock wheels are 5x100 on a 17x7 with +48 offset.

Hi guys! I really need your hand, i would know how the meausure 18x9 +35 fit in the front. In italy we have a serious law, the wheels can't come out the body. Could someone make me a picture of the wheel from above

That I know. But is it possible to use a conversion kit and still have them fit?

That is really more of a WRX forum question as to whether or not they'd fit on that car.

But here's what I see:
You would need a conversion spacer, so assume 20mm minimum added to the FRS wheel, which would give it an effective offset of +28. Compare that to the WRX wheel at 17x8 +53 and you're looking at 12mm more poke. Should have extra clearance on the inside, so no issues there.

Yes. W 18" the rim is parallel to the perch not the tire, they fit but you cant camber much/at all

I asked for the stock one to make me an idea. I'm going on airlift suspension and wanted to know if it would clear the bags itself in front !!

So I guest the answer is yes !?

I have no idea what the dimensions are on the airlift kit vs the stock spring/perch. 18x9.5 +38 fits on stock suspension, pokes outside the wheel well. Lowered 1-1.5" the camber brings the tops in a little bit which makes the rim closer to the perch, but not rubbing. To go lower you would have to camber in order to not hit the fenders, and u cant camber because u will hit the perch.
