It has slightly better power to weight than your RSX. Are you bored of your current car? My car has almost half the power to weight ratio of the FR-S and it keeps me entertained daily. The original 86 had about half the power to weight ratio and no one ever called it boring.

This is what I was thinking Ichi. Because he said he wants 600 whp in this car so I assumed he was one of those guys who want ridiculous horsepower. 200 whp is fine for me.

Yeah, I think he's basing off as a tuning perspective. Even in Touge Showdown, he's not a fan of underpower cars. He always say that he wish there's more power & wish more oversteer... But hell, he's 20x better driver than me or most of us, so he can say whatever he want & no one have anything to say back (other than Tsuchiya-san or other older pro drivers)

Thanks Ichi! The section on spring rates was especially helpful!

Yes I'm quoting myself. Looks like the 86 is just under 1:10 and the BRZ just over 1:10 |

a stock FD2 Type R can already do 1:07 a stock 86 or BRZ will never come close to Type R territory until TRD or STI release something more capable. |

Did you even read the thread before posting? Much less the post that I was responding to in my post that you quoted?

Thanks itchitaka for the translation and to whom ever did the subtitles in the video. was a much better viewing when u can understand what the discussion is about. lol at the end where nob keeps asking questions about power and the HKS rep giving him run around answers.
Nob doesnt care abt us he just wants a huge horsepower 86 for himself lol |

I don't think this track is a good barometer for comparing the FT86/BRZ to other cars track times. This is a small track. Put it on a bigger track like Laguna Seca, Sebring, or VIR and then compare the times. There is a video on you tube of a NA Miata beating a Viper around a small track.
