Thanks, I'll do that.

As far as I know, the only way to "disable" it is by disabling the launch control.

I am 99.999% certain I could rev all the way to red line on the Stage 1 tune as long as I was in neutral and had my foot off the clutch. Shortly after the tune I was at the DFW Cars & Coffee and first discovered the LC limit when rolling in first with the clutch in.

I think you discovered the FFS rpm limit rather than the LC limit.

FFS limit active when clutch depressed

LC limit active (if set) if car doing less than the LC disable speed regardless of clutch or gear selection.

the LC limit is definitly active at a standstill with a gear selected thats the whole point of LC :-)

??? since when did tuning or modifying a vehicle become a gimmick? increased horsepower and drivability is something all ft86 owners can benefit from. I promise if you test drive someones car with an e85 tune then, you will understand...

I think they were refering to Launch control and Flat foot shift

So quick question...anyone running a vortech sc with the OFT OTS map...if so how is it? I'm starting to look at the vortech SC since I already have OFT. Just wondering what kind of numbers people are pulling?

Apologies. I just love this setup and will always endorse it, and there are always a few people out there that speculate from an ignorant perspective. I miss read that post, doh!

Took a look through a lot of the tables out of sheer boredom waiting for my OFT... It's very different than what I'm used to (MegaSquirt), heh.

I noticed something that seems slightly odd in the idle speed tables of what seems to be every map in the 1.59 maps. Is there a reason that the 140* column is a higher idle target than the 122* column? Heck, I don't even know when this idle table is used...

can't think of one reckon it a typo

Imagine they just copy/paste data to maps, pretty sure the 700c 900C A00C A01C maps the same just the calid changes and they are all actually based on A01c calibration. Then they just alter the calid so the oft will load the map corresponding to your calid as the OFT will only load a map with matching calid. In this way the guys on older calid's actually update to latest calid even though the calid shown in map is the original.

hmm. I guess it takes a while for the ECU to re-learn the throttle pedal? First 1/4" at least literally does nothing, doesn't even register. Torque dip is massively reduced and the powerband definitely feels smoother.

I'm a bit less than satisfied (a bit of an understatement, to be honest) with the quality of the OFT and cables, but I guess we're paying more for the programming than anything else.

@DocWalt That is normal for the throttle. I had the same thing when I reset my ecu for an intake change.

Yep. Both my Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes had this for a short while. Almost stalled pulling away from stops the first little while.

Figured. Didn't go away with ~10 minutes of tooling around, so I was slightly concerned. Any idea how long it takes to go back to normal?

After flashing the ecu, turn car on but don't start the engine. Fully depress and release the gas pedal 10-20 times. Turn off ignition. Start car normally and you're good to go with no dead pedal feeling.
