I installed my OpenFlash header today, and updated to the UEL Stage 2 tune. Is launch control permanently enabled with this tune? It kicks in whether I'm in Neutral or any gear and try to rev - limits me to 5500 RPM.

Yes it on by default, delta is set to 2000 so its redline minus 2000 ie about 5600 rpm
it works on vehicle speed once speed over about 6mph you should then get full rpm limit, their is parameter to adjust delta and speed at which launch rpm limit ceases.
If you set them both to 0 its disabled, would probably disable if either one set to 0.

hopefully 1.6 will address this
Its just a tick box in there map. Find the DTC list in Romraider, find the code that gets thrown, untick box, save map, flash. It would take you 10 minutes.

This and no lift/wot shifting feature we're the only issues I had...for me it was more annoying because I had my launch set to 4k.

As far as I know, the only way to "disable" it is by disabling the launch control.

The launch control settings and Flat foot shift (FFS) settings are independent you can disable one or both independently

Under LC you have RPM delta and Disable speed

Launch RPM (Redline-Delta=launch RPM) holds RPM at desired vaule while vehicle is traveling at less than the Speed set in the Disable value. Once speed exceeds this value launch RPM is "disabled"

to disable launch control set Delta to zero.

Under FFS you have a second RPM delta.

For FFS RPM (Redline -Delta) will only be active if the vehicle is in motion over the (LC disable speed)and the clutch is depressed, the RPM will be limited to what you have set. Unfortunately it cannot differentiate between upshifts and downshifts and cannot be set per gear.

If you set the FFS Delta to zero it effectively disable as the car will rev to full rpm limit with clutch depressed while is moving above the LC disable speed. Even if you have a LC RPM limit set.

You can disable all of those things, but if launch control is set, it is ALWAYS set at neutral...doesnt matter if you're in gear, clutch in, clutch not in.
So, if you have a 4k launch, you can never rev over 4k when stopped. Normally wouldn't be a big deal, but at my work we sell my exhaust(Ark Grip) and customers want to know how it sounds, but I could never rev over 4k lol.

I normally wouldn't complain/be bothered by it, but all my other platforms could differentiate whether or not to engage LC based on gear/clutch positions.

Plus(not Shiv's fault at all) I dislike how this car handles launch control, by flapping the throttle body open/close.

Arrrh ????, you could have car moving at over 6mph clutch in and it would rev over 4k with launch set (pain unless your on rollers), yes its a very simple implementation on LC and FFS, personally don't use either found more trouble tan their worth :-) especially FFS.

IMHO gimmicks that detract from the purity of the car...

true, but I would generally just leave the car in the parking space haha.

And FFS just caused issues for me in the fast corners...IE, I would be wot, then clutch/downshift and get back on the gas again and be treated with a delay-of 1/2 second before having throttle back

alright. now I guess I have to learn about romraider and how to use it so I can disable this stuff.

Thanks for the info

Just make sure you download the romRaider definition files from the OFT site as the ones from romraider/github don't have the LC/FFS parameters as the OFT ROM's have a patch to code to insert these extra features.

to disable just set the LC delta to zero "0" and the FFS Delta to "0".
