I have a different kind of victim story. Found out what was wrong with my dump pack.

One of the terminals looked pretty fried when I removed the top cover. Emailed Rob, he said it looked like a wrench or something has touched the terminal. The only thing I had done since installation was an oil change.

Called the oil change, asked for the employee that changed my oil. Sure enough, he had removed the battery tie down to get a peek at how the ESC was wired. When he went to replace the tie down, he nicked the terminal with the dangling metal pin, sparking and fusing the bolt and nut. He then tried starting the car, noticed the gauge and the car both were working, and apparently decided not to tell me. the ESC functioned fairly well on the battered terminal, but i imagine that heat and such finally overwhelmed the battery and it gave up the ghost. this probably explains my concern about the boost being a little low too.

His company will be covering the cost of any replacement parts or batteries.

Still cant believe it.

I'm amazed he was honest with you after the fact. Good think they're making it right!

We have pretty solid community around here. It's pretty religious, being Utah and all (not that religion guarantees morals, don't wanna start that debate). I imagine it had been eating through his conscience a little. I'm more surprised he didn't tell me the first time than I am that he admitted to it when I called.

Be glad you were able to get the guy who did the change. I wouldn't trust my car to one of those shops for anything around here. I have a hard time handing over the keys to get the tires balanced/rotated, but I can't do that myself and I get to watch it from start to finish.

I'm usually the same way with everything but my oil. I am good friends with the previous owner of the shop, which is why I was going there. It might be time to switch now though.

On the contrary I would keep going there. Screw ups happen and it sounds like the shop is making it right.

Shops you can trust to tell you the truth when they stand nothing to gain? Those are a diamond in the rough.

So, As I was driving home from work yesterday I decided to get on it a little. As i went full throttle the voltage stayed the at 28.7 and the compressor was not engaging. I was worried something with my controller was wrong again. Once I got home I looked over the system and realized the cause. I found my throttle switch sitting on the floor. It turns out it at some point got worked loose and fell off. After bolting it back on and a little adjusting all is well

As for my post about the 1.5 tune. That was meant to be sarcastic as I thought it was supposed to be finished quite some time ago. I was just giving Shiv a hard time. I do realize how busy he is and that he has other priorities at the moment lol....I'm just impatient and can't wait for him to work his magic

Yep, agreed on all points about the honesty being valuable, it's just a matter of whether I switch back to doing oil changes myself. We'll see how I feel in 3-5k miles.

Ok so finally coils, wheels, and tires are on.

Coils: RS-R Sports-i Moto Spec - Thx @Moto-P for the sage advice
Wheels: WedsSport SA10-R 18x8.5 et 45 (new for 2014!) - Thx @MicheleAbbate for the help with the specs.
Tires: Dunlop Direzza DZ102 (also new for 2014!)

Had @F-T remove some frozen lugs, studs, and add header. I think I'm roughly -1.2" F/ -1.2"R. Need to measure the drop. I think I should go down about another 1/4" F & R. The header was an OEM header that I made "special" with the info from @NickFRS. My butt dyno confirms his findings which is the stock header is a fine ELH after the upgrade. The Phantom ESC + beefed up suspension and stickier tires feel very well matched. Thanks again for the powah @Robftss .

Needs a tad more low and the front splitter is being fabbed but took a few not so glamorous shots anyhow.

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday, different problem, just as easily fixed.

The black wire on the harness had pulled away from the 5 pin connector.
