Check your log for knock events. If you're getting knock, stop using the ESC until the AFR is adjusted.

Does it depend on your atmospheric pressure or is it just 1.37 for all?

thanks for the info!

Flashed back to 91 this morning -- just waiting on the tune from the guys over at Vishnu, then install should happen in the next day or two, finally.

I've been on ethanol-free fuel for over half a year and still got the crickets, so I don't think ethanol is the cause.

The general consensus on is that the crickets are caused by decreased lubricity of ethanol and evaporation of ethanol causing air bubbles in the HPFP. These issues are so well known that companies like Lucas market products to restore the above properties into vehicles running e85. Using these or other fuel additives or lubricants (like 2 stroke oil) even in small concentrations tends to resolve the issue immediately. However, even a quarter tank of blended ethanol gasoline can bring the crickets back.

From what I understand, in NY unless the gas pump specifically states "Ethanol Free", chances are you're getting gas with Ethanol. Just as an example of how sparse ethanol free stations are in NY, in 2012 there were two known ethanol free gas stations in central NY, and it made the news. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.s...gas_stati.html

Currently there are many more spread across NY, still however it's quite sparse. Here are the known ethanol free pumps in NY on buyrealgas.com . http://buyrealgas.com/NewYork.html

Making it even more difficult to know if your gas has "E" content or not, NY gas stations are not required to label gas that has ethanol with ethanol concentration like they do in CA. http://www.e0pc.com/NY.php

Funny thing is, some fuel stations that sell heavy "E" concentration gas, blend in an additive that improves lubricity and evaporation which then again decreases crickets. So some people that run e85 exclusively report no crickets whatsoever. That can sometimes further confuse the issue.

Advanced Multiplier is at a solid 1 with no change.
FLKC dips from 0 to -1.95 almost always after let off after a WOT run
LTFT ranges from 0 to 5.47

FLKC: http://www.datazap.me/u/nlowell/june...og=0&data=1-12

What else do I look at to give me indication of knock and "health"?

The station that I have been getting gas at is labeled ethanol-free premium. Crickets came in after 3 months. That's when I switched to 93 with 10% e and never looked back. Also more knock resistant than the e-free 91.

I guess I'll have to do some research. We had 1 station around here that sold ethanol-free gas, (local station been in business 60 years) but ~3 years ago I saw the 7% ethanol sign on the pump and asked the guy why they changed. He told me that federal mandate forced them to meet the minimum then 7% now 10% minimum ethanol content. All my lawn mower/line trimmer manuals call for low or no ethanol gas.

You may have some choices.

I wonder if the station that was labeling ethanol free was actually ethanol free. If not, I hope you weren't paying extra at that station. In any case, you guys are lucky to be able to get 93 of any kind. I think both us peeps in Cali and in AUS get 91 as premium and it stinks.
