Changing gears is extremely fast, only morons try to jump on it way below the boost threshold, it ain't a V8 so don't drive it like one?

If you use your AT in manual and sport mode there should be no issue with turbo it!
If use it full auto with default mode then (depending on the turbo you chose) lag could be an issue. But if you want to have some fun get a passenger, centrifugal sc and default mode, then hit the throttle (WOT) and you have near max boost as soon as the car change gears, then and only then you would see the thing people talk about instant boost ![]() You could also see that if you let the car at 5k with out use of throttle (like engine braking) follow with WOT, be careful on turns and have tons of fun! |

But please don't compare sc (positive pressure or centrifugal) with turbos, is not fair... This is my second sc car, all others turbo from oem to custom made and both are the slowest of all.
As a side note this is the only one I think would make it to 100k before engine repair, is not due to taking care of the car, more that could not rise boost if found some one faster. Also temps under the hood are better than expected (live in the tropic) oil range 200-220f, coolant 194-210f, sc oil 195f. |

Meh, I haven't driven a flappy paddle gear box, I have no idea how the transmission will respond when you tell it to change gears. BUT, the automatics do keep the rpms very low.

If you want to make crazy dyno numbers - Turbocharger
If you want to drive only one lap at a time - Turbocharger If you want to melt everything in your engine bay - Turbocharger If you want to make reliable, usable power - Supercharger If you want to track all day, many sessions - Supercharger If you want engine that feels like stock, but much moar powerful - Supercharger |

How often did you track your TCed BRZ? Have you datalogged?
This is a serious question because in my previous turbo cars (OEM turbo) heatsoak and transient response were my problems (inconsistent power delivery too since turbos are more temperamental) ...I am just curious I just want to know what kind of temps and experience people have since I don't see many people share their opinions on tracked TCed BRZ/FRS I am really curious how a big turbo in the engine bay is not causing any heat issues.. Do people really push their cars at the track?
