That holster pictured in your original post is not the answer for the twins. I have that same holster that I used in my FJ Cruiser. I found it to be very flimsy and very hard to get snug against the dash. It also moved back and forth while turning too much for my taste. Espescially if you have a firearm with a little bit of weight to it. I tried it in the FRS but if you need to quickly draw for any reason, the angle to get to it would be very awkward. In my twin, I snug mine between the seat and center console while I am driving, but it's carried on me whenever I'm out of the vehicle so that doesn't really solve your problem of security while you are not there.
One of us found that using a remora holster between the seats works, some of the thinner firearms I have are difficult to grab out of it though (since it shifts lower). I just got some comptac pieces in the mail today I am going to mod together a holster to hide inside a JDM armrest. Still not a secure location but in my state open carry is illegal even in your car.

More to come. Going deep sea fishing this weekend so it will have to wait

Very curious to see how that comes out. I use a Bianci for personal carry, but when I get in I ordered a Sticky holster. It has no back strap and the material on the outside of the holster is made from some vinyl material that grabs on to the seat material and plastic of the center console really well. When you draw, the gun slides right out.

Sounds very similar to the remora. What brand do you have?

I've used a bianchi pocket holster similar to the remora when I had a p238. The thing was terrible. The "grippy" outer material lost any semblance of grippyness faster than Michelin HP Primacies in a light drizzle, and the soft interior never held the gun very securely.

The remora holster is reported to have none of those problems.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

Another concern to consider when choosing a place to put your firearm while leaving going into a bank or driving is your passengers. If you happen to be giving someone a ride with a felony you have to maintain control of the firearm. Best way I could see to do this is to make a kydex insert for the door cupholder. If you are worried about wear I suppose you could just make an insert that has an opening for the gun to slide into and be held. 3/4 of the width of your gun should give enough holding ability. This even allows you to make a provision for an extra magazine if you want. I will need to figure out something soon myself.

The first point could be a modified hidehole at the right knee pad. No one is working on that solution yet though.

That is why I like the center console option while driving. The armrest opens into the passenger making it easy for you to keep control by holding down the armrest with your arm. unlike in between the seats.

Spare mags in the drivers side door would be sweet, but would need to be removable for the big gulp.

I know I never considered one because there are better rounds out there than .380. For self defense, I consider .380 to be a non-starter. Even in it's most modern examples, it leaves a lot to be desired. Sig made a .380 because they continue to be popular and they could sell them as a premium option, not because they were the best option.

Don't hang out with criminals and this won't be a problem.

It is legal to carry into a bank in my state, unless they have clearly marked signs on the door prohibiting firearms.

You are 100% entitled to your opinion. In CA it is way different, only celebrities and politicians are allowed permits because, you must remember, they are way more important than you. Diane Feinstein and Sean Penn, who are both advocates against guns, both have concealed carry permits, and/or armed guards. If that isn't hypocritical elitism, I don't know what is.

If you haven't already, you should probably read up on the purpose and background behind the 2nd amendment (it was not written for what most people assume it was written), and why the Japanese chose not to invade the U.S. during WWII, before calling guns retarded.

The company is called "Sticky". I have been using it in my vehicle for over a year now and it grips great between the seat. For the price, it's great.

I use a inside pant belt clip concealment holster for when I'm out and about. I place it between my seats because it gives me extremely quick draw capabilities if I need it while in the car. I live in CA, and around 8 years ago I was carjacked at gunpoint in the blink of an eye. Partially due to that fact no one I don't know approaches my vehicle without my hand on it or it below my door line.
An armrest concealment would take to much time for deployment if need be.

I respect your reply fully. Though I have not read up on that i do still understand the importance of guns and safety. i should have clarified that when i call guns retarded i was actually referring to the vast majority of unintelligent people who irresponsibly handle them.

while there are many people who respect firearms and take all the necessary safety precautions. i feel based on observation that most people are not responsible and therefore result in accidental deaths and or premeditated murders. i salute the troops and i support the right to protect ones life and family but i dislike the lack of common sense among the population.

Thank you for the reply and clarification. I agree that many people do not possess the necessary training to properly handle firearms and should seek the training. I do think a safety course, or proof of military/law enforcement experience should be mandatory before purchasing a firearm, otherwise you negate the safety aspect of protecting your family by endagering others around you. I have personally witnessed dangerous acts on the range and elsewhere that have made me uncomfortable.
