Good thing I got one of the special editions then? lol I hope it doesn't drop though...I'm leasing and hoping my residual stays where it's at bc I know by the time my lease is over, it's gonna be worth a lot more considering I probably put 500 miles a month if I'm lucky.

You'd be surprised someone that values the 'stripped down version' (i.e. '13 FRS) and first MY in 10 years. The special edition rides are nice. But they are as you said "a BRZ with an FRS front-end". Not saying much there. When we have the true FRS. Only time will tell.

Is monogram a SE? Its not a numbered car is it? I think the 10 series is the only SE as far as a numbered car....

bah screw the resale value I didnt buy the FR-S to trade it or resell it years from now and even if there was a better car in the future (which there always will be) I'd probably reach that age where it doesnt matter anymore (I dont wanna be those guys in their late 50's early 60s and ends up with a vette or fancy sports car) I am happy with this car mod it drive and smile then years from now drive a family car and have this in the garage for the weekend car

I think one sold about a year ago, I don't think it commanded any significant difference from a standard car. |

Agree with @Fett4Real, that's not what my fear is. I didn't buy the car for it's resale value, but i did expect it to hold on better. My personal fear is that even with a downpayment, I am still flipped (thankfully, not a lot). If, for some reason, I have to sell the car (baby, loss of job etc), I can't do it, or I go into my emergency fund. Thankfully, neither of those have a great chance of happening soon, but I HATE being flipped on a car. |

I for one can't wait till this car becomes the new miata.
Dime a dozen on craigslist, buy one to drive, one for a parts kept in the back yard. |
