Very well! It's always fun hanging out with HKS. Release date as of now is June/July for the US market.

I cannot make an official comment as of yet. However, judging by the product images that have been posted, and using the factory air box I think one can gather specific intent.

Can you say that it will be comparable/lesser or greater than the output of other current Rotrex vendors on here in terms of output?

I have seen preliminary data and goals for this kit however, until we install and tune the kit on our vehicle here in America I won't speculate. I will say I don't see an issue hitting the 300 whp goal. In addition I am very familiar with Rotrex. Actually, I was quite involved with kit development using the unit on American vehicles around 10 years ago. Upon study of the Rotrex verse HKS unit I can say it's not always about power output although, all the data I have seen leaves me splitting hairs in regards to power comparisons. Both units boast efficient maps, charge temps, and higher impeller speeds but, 3 major changes HKS made to their design make a big difference in a few areas. Change 1- Increasing the diameter of the impeller shaft. (2mm iirc) Change 2- Using more than one bolt to mount the supercharger pulley opposed to Rotrex using one bolt. Change 3- Reducing parasitic drag by spring loading one of the planetary wheels. Change 3 might be a little confusing so I'll explain. If you look at the attached image you can see a small spring and shaft assembly to the right of the impeller shaft. The addition of this spring allows wheel tension to release during engine idle while progressively ramping up pressure on the impeller shaft to aid slippage during high boost levels. Personally, I experienced issues with the Rotrex units during my development work directly relating to the HKS changes to their design. I can say they are definitely a step in the right direction for increased strength, longevity, and a more efficient unit. As usual, any of my opinions are quite objective.

Dry sump Subarus are something of a rarity, even in the pro-am racing series. Expect a consumer kit (if it were ever developed) to run ~$5K and still require a ton of a customization.
This revised HKS does pique my curiosity, I will say. |

The difference between the original GT supercharger kit vs post renewal:
1. Larger intercooler piping, different routing obviously 2. Uses OEM air box, it's a plus in my eyes since original GT kit draws air inside the engine bay versus cold air intake 3. Bigger intercooler, I think it has more rows So with these difference it makes small bits of more power in the higher rpms. It seems HKS is still developing supercharger kit further on our platform (besides the other kit that eliminates A/C) and it is a pleasant surprise that they are doing so. On a side note, does it make more power on a supercharger with addition of an aftermarket header, Hks header maybe... And then catless all the way through |

Looking forward to results and feedback.
Thinking about how much the EL header from HKS will affect this Kit as well. I'm considering buying both eventually. |

Good stuff. We have the header, and the new single exhaust on the car but will remove it to baseline test the kit, and tune. After that we will install them back on the car and take it from there.
