I was thinking more for CSG's personal track usage, since most of the other brands tend to creep randomly.

I was thinking about doing my own; the only daunting part is everything must be perfectly aligned when you set the first welds. I'll probably pass on making LCAs, but I should be able to make all the underbody bracing pretty easily, and much cheaper than the brand name versions are sold for.

Really? I'd have thought it would have a decent effect on chassis stiffness. That's how they're marketed, at least.

What is your intended application/use? What is your driving experience level? What modifications have you done? What tires will you be using?

Mostly daily driving, but I also intend to compete in at least 10 STX events for solo 2 this year and one or two lapping days at a road course. Car is also driven year round in heavy snow and rain sadly. I have done plenty of carting, auto x in other vehicles I have owned and a few lapping days in various vehicles, but I am no expert by any means. I have Raceseng camber/caster plates, Bilstein sport series shocks, RCE Yellow springs, and Eibach sway bars and will be sitting on 16x7 Volk TE37 wheels with 225/50/16 Hankook RS-3s.

The damage to the car would suck though. Piece of mind is worth a lot to me, I think if I needed that much rear camber I'd sell the SPC's based on this thread. About the creep, I'd suspect it's the aluminum that's creeping. What's your opinion on slotting the stock arms? I know it was said sarcastically, but I've actually been considering it for some time. I like that the stock arms are cheap, strong enough for anything I'm going do to with them, yet weak enough that they'll sacrifice themselves before the car bends. I was really hoping to run the whiteline LCA adjustment bushing, but they stopped making them and I can't find them anywhere. Actually, I didn't pm you guys, @CSG Mike, is there any chance you guys have a set in stock? Shoot me a PM if you do, please. |
