I don't understand the question, I drive every car like that.
My girlfriend has a 2002 base model civic and I beat the piss out of it all the time.

I don't feel like I have to "drive it like I stole it" to enjoy driving it. Those days are 20+ years gone. I just crept passed 200 miles today. Once its broken in, I have lots of twisty/hilly mountain roads to enjoy driving it on.
YMMV

The Sonoita hwy is also a good one, and the hwy to Globe or the Beeline hwy to Payson....

It's not a Prius. I drive it like I'd drive any other fast, fun car.

The 86 is not a normal car, therefore you should not drive it normally. I'm struggling to average anything above 21 mpg with my FRS... it just likes to live in the upper RPM range too much and increase speed for the turns. Best 20-21mpg I've ever gotten from a car though!
