IDK. It looks like it would be a tight fit. You may end up having to remove the engine cover. There are other STB that have plenty of room to spare. Im going to go with Cusco just to be sure.

I did some rough measurements the other say and I think it will be a little too tight, less than a cm of clearence without the engine over. When I eventually get the power blocks i will be looking to space the strut bar up somehow.

Just finished installing mine. Dont be lazy with disconnecting the hoses and wires. It will eventually be in your way. I decided I would try to be a "badass" like the dude in the motoiq article and do it without help. I reminded myself of Ralphs dad fixing the water heater weaving a tapestry of curse words. It was a minor pain in the ass, but not too bad.

Do you consider other brand of the strut bar?
Which one will be the candidate in your mind?
Thanks again.

It's so strange reading these threads, there's 4 kinds of people.
Those asking intelligent / necessary questions
Those responding to said questions
Those bashing each other
Those bashing crawford

This thread and forum in general would be better without the second two, its getting tiring reading through pointless arguments about product cost / who's **** is bigger when I'm just looking for people like @nelsmar who're trying to get information out there.

I don't know what is out there as far as strut bars go I am sorry. I think the JDM TRD bar may as I have drooled over it before and it is raised up a bit. Maybe ask people with the innovate superchargers what they do?

Would leaving the cover off be a bad idea?

Cuscos strut bar clears Innovate kit, and will clear this mod as well for sure.

Sweet, I'm just going to take it off and keep my Hotchkis STB then. Hopefully that should fit.

Fair, I picked it up from a lecture and I'll need to do some research to back it up, as an engineer who's spent the last two years focusing on mechanical design and heat transfer, my fluids are weak.

Intuitively, the intake and exhaust valves are nozzles, albeit ones with a terribly inefficient shape, at the precise moment of opening there is a huge amount of pressure difference between the chamber and the intake/exhaust with an extremely small choke point which from my hazy lecture memory is what forces the escaping gas to travel at ludicrous speeds.

Just saw your second post basically saying what I just did, glad we're on the same page, even more glad there's someone to challenge me when I'm not up to snuff.

@strat61caster, hope you can shed some light on this being clued up about heat transfer.
What would the implication of a solid ally block compared to non-metalic/lower heat absorption material instead?

Plastic intake feeds aluminum heads. The plastic now feeds aluminum spacers for like 35mm before entering an aluminum head. I'm gonna say its insignificant.

Thanks. Apparently everyone knows more than us though. Thus makes me question I'd I should waste my time and money on future tests of other products >.< apparently the internet can decide what is better without real testing.
