A little update...

The first several kits shipped today.

We have had some interest in customizing the kit. We can do this as follows, but be aware we don't stock everything in every combination, so typically it will be an extra week to get the other stuff in if we do not have it.

  • Lines only: If you bought someone's kit and it had the oversize hose and...well, lets leave it at that. You can get just the lines for $250 and re-use your flex fuel sensor and electronics.
  • Harness only: This is the c20 pin C harness that allows an aux input, be it flex fuel or anything else, $150.
  • Colors: We can make blue/red, all black, all silver...you just have to ask and we have to special order the fittings. No extra charge.
  • ECA2: If you want the round gauge vs square, or if you want no gauge at all, we can do this as well. No gauge saves $79. ECA2 with gauge is discouraged at this point though. Functionally they are exactly the same, but the ECA2 has an extra box that makes it more cumbersome to mount. This is why we chose the original ECA display.
  • Rear o2 input: We have custom harnesses on the way for these. But be aware that there are caveats. For emissions purposes if we use this, you will have a not ready status for the rear o2. Most states allow 1 or 2 not ready statuses. Some don't allow any. So it is definitely preferable to use the C20 pin as it is not used in the US. Also it is preferable to use the rear o2 for a wideband input. With the innovate, zeitronix, and AEM all having analog outputs; a much better use of the rear o2 signal is a wideband. The stock one really does stink for anything richer than 12, and even between 12 and 14 is just really lousy.

Hopefully that about covers it. Pre-order discount will be active for the weekend and after that it is done. We definitely priced it a bit low for the work involved making hoses, terminating harness etc...but if we can keep up the bulk we can keep the cost down and still use the quality US made components.

We'll be making an instruction video and pdf this weekend...but looks like we may have another foot of snow coming so we may have to break out the snowboard instead!

Instructions are now live here:

We will update this in the coming days once I can make it back into the shop to take some more pictures, but this pretty much covers it.

I plan on going flex fuel on my avo setup but one question which I'm sure you could answer. I plan on running an ecu controlled boost controller which runs off of the evap wiring (correct?), is my only option for the ethanol sensor the rear o2 harness? I don't mind getting rid of the rear o2, I can have two readiness codes not set and still pass emmisions in md. Just curious. Thanks

Ecutek tune can disable the DTC and readiness is set to pass emissions, confirmed with my tune and a handheld OBDII scanner with readiness monitoring

I was wondering too. I wanna wire a wideband, ECA and BCS up but is that possible for the ECUTek to control? I pieced together a FFK for my STi and if I didn't already have the most expensive parts on hand already I would just buy this kit. Still looking at the PNP harness.

No you are not limited to just the rear O2. You can still use the purge solenoid output for the boost controller and the rear O2 for the wideband and the harness supplied by Moto-East uses a 3rd input to the ECU that is re-purposed.

you use the CPC solenoid output for the boost controller, CPC sensor input and rear O2 input as inputs into RaceRom, so yes you can run the boost controller along with flex fuel and a wideband all at once. this is exactly what i'm running currently.

i installed a kit i had pieced together using moto-mike's lines this past weekend and it went without a hitch. everything clicked right together without a leak in sight. perfect!

Just an FYI, we got sold out on the first batch quick. We have more fittings coming in this week to make a few more kits, harnesses as well. We should ship those out by next week, maybe this week if the second order comes in quicker. Blue displays are now $25 off since it seems everyone wants red

I've had the lines on a few days now and I gotta say anyone looking at a flex fuel setup should look no further. I've beat the hell out of the car since I put them on and it's 100% solid. I was really worried I'd run into issues others have had with the various other kits but there have been none to speak of. Fire extinguisher not required with this kit .

@moto-mike , what "heat source" tool do you recommend using to seal the heat shrink on the wire crimps?

I must say, the fitting placement for the fuel line on this kit is super smart. Good job Mike. No need to remove the stock line and have any sort of leaks from that area (I don't have any, but you need to be careful on that stock hard line).
