stock will probably get the CF version. I keep hearing the aluminum version will make a droning sound on highway. i am sensitive to annoying things like that plus i heard the Cf as an elastic effect.

Ordered the aluminum one. I'll post a review after it's installed

I'm sure it will be a little noisier versus the cf one, but I couldn't justify the additional cost.

Let's face... we are modifying our cars... it's going to get noisier and noisier. Once I go FI, I could care less if my driveshaft is making noise or vibrating a little

You have seen my CF driveshaft in person. What do you want to know about it other than the following and what we have talked about?

Neapco = U-Joints
Sonnax = Billet Aluminum U-Joint ends
ACPT = Carbon tube (high modulas diamond weave)
3M = Bonding adhesive

The weak point on the CF driveshaft during testing was the U-Joints but unless you are making more than 3,100 ft/lb. torque I'd hardly consider it a weak point in your application.

Rev doesn't have anything to do with it. Torque does like you said. DSS builds tons and tons of parts for much larger motors than ours that put out more torque than HP most of the time, LS1, WRX/STI, and etc... 600HP in our car would be nothing still torque wise for this stuff to handle. Again HP is a more relate-able term for most of the population so that is my guess as to why they issue that number as they rated factor.

I am still wondering what the limitation of the aluminum drive shaft is... As I have considered purchasing one but the "rating" it has is about where I am expecting my car to be.
