The local meets are all stock cars the past few times I've been so I'm not really interested. I might as well go park my car at the Subaru dealership. lol The only meets I really go to is with my friends and we actually go drive our cars instead of stand around in a parking lot.

So here's a lil update. After installing the Ohlins suspension I wasn't happy with the ride height and almost sold it off. I really liked the ride quality of it so I tried to figure out a solution to make it lower. The gap in the rear was so bad it looked almost like factory springs. Anyways I did my research and didn't find anything. I looked around for different camber plates and top hats and ended up with the HVT front adjustable camber plates / Raceseng rear top hats. After playing around with the bearing configurations I got it to work!
![]() This was after the Ohlins was installed. ![]() Another shot of the rear to show how high it really was. ![]() Trying to figure out how this is going to go together. I ended up not using the bearing and silver hat piece from the HVT set up. ![]() I ended up using the bearing that came with the ohlins on top of the ohlins hat instead. Final set up for the front. ![]() Ohlins rear piece. ![]() I used the thicker bearing from the top portion and brought it down here. Then the spacer from the Raceseng set up placed above that. ![]() This is how much lower it went with the Raceseng rear top hat. ![]() I move the thinner bearing that was on the bottom to the top. Then the black nut above that. ![]() Installed. The front has more room the go lower. Maybe another 1/2 inch to an inch. The rear is maxed out here. ![]() Here's a shot in the day light. I still need to either raise the back up or lower the front a lil more.

Absolutely fucking ridiculous what you had to go through to get a $3k setup to work. I'm glad Brian could get you setup with a proper set of plates. Looks great.

Turned out great!
Well I'm glad you figured out a way vs sold em, I was sure wishing I could've got em from ya lol. But....now you got it setup where you have the height you want and a great quality comfortable ride. IMO that's win win really. The day I can get ohlins I'll likely be looking at similar ideas. I have stance lca so that drops a full inch on back and for front was thinking of ground control tops With what you did use here no clunks or oddities at all?

how is the AVO turbo performing? Any issues tracking or street?
Are you running an oil cooler and/or bigger radiator? I like the kit a lot not sure what FI route I want to go yet though... Last edited by ZionsWrath; 03-01-2014 at 10:12 PM. |

Update. I just lowered the front just to see how low it'll go.
![]() Max low in the front now. ![]() Disregard the ghetto ebay led license plate light that went out. lol ![]() This the max low on the new set up. I'm pretty happy with it now. The rear is 1/8 inch lower than the front. I'll probably make some adjustments later and get it aligned.

Perfect height! Not too low, not too high.

The reason the Ohlins do not go lower is because the dampers already have a short stroke. Dropping it lower, not a good thing.
I like a lot of this build, though.
