You can put the Lenovo 2 Yoga (not-pro) at 70 seconds.
I imagine the Pro version would be less than a minute.

@DJCarbine
Received the Dell Venue Pro and used it on Saturday for flashing/logging. Holy f*ck.... Those damn Windows 8 tablets are a PITA to use. Shook my damn head at how much Windows 8 fails at being a tablet AND being a PC while trying to be both... Extremely small fonts and areas to click, the keyboard does not intuitively come up to write in every scenario (you have to actually go to the taskbar to pull it up and push it down sometimes like browsing on chrome). With no keyboard or mouse, its really impossible to modify a map. It flashed REALLY quick so I liked that. I ordered a bluetooth keyboard/mouse to deal with the shortcomings, along with a tablet mount for ease of view.

Dude yeah, windows 8 is the worst platform ever for getting any work done. Need that file downloaded from an email, where's the file explorer? How about the start menu system that they've developed functionality for over the last 20 years? And they just throw it all out so they can make it look like a windows phone. Make it super hard to get to any of your files or legacy programs that aren't Netflix or IE. As if everybody wants a touchscreen desktop. Microsoft is stupid.

If you hate windows 8, update it to 8.1 and set it to default to the old style desktop instead of metro. It's a 10 second change, and you can still access metro if you want.

It is also a pretty decent bathroom browser (surf the net while pooping) and my battery lasts pretty long.The virtual keyboard issue is there when you dont use desktop mode, I wonder if ecutek will ever develop a windows 8 touch friendly gui in the future.... I have been experimenting with third party virtual keyboards (some even have virtual mouse trackpad support) but have not found anything I like. FWIW I am pretty sure there is software where you can use an android phone as a keyboard/mouse or possibly even an iphone. ::edit Also update everything to latest (8.1 update etc.) It did fix a few bugs here and there

I use an Asus Zenbook with a SSD and running Windows 7. The only installed application is the ECUTek software, and my flashing times are about 2 minutes.
EDIT: It should be mentioned, that I cannot get either the cable or the usb key to work with the USB 3.0 port, so that limits me to a single USB 2.0 port. because of this, I use a USB hub. |

I was told by Dynosty that EcuTek has found a cheap multi port USB hub that is sold on eBay that can greatly reduce flashing times. I got the info from Dynosty on the hub, but I never got around to purchasing it.

This is what I have been using since the Venue 8 Pro came out and I HIGHLY recommend it for datalogging and flashing and basically EVERYTHING outside of tuning as well. It is basically attached to me at all times. I do use a tiny bluetooth mouse though for map editing and stuff but other than that I don't really find windows 8.1 on it to be bad at all once you get use to it.

This is the hub I use for the Venue 8 Pro and have had no problems at all datalogging/flashing with multiple dataloggers running simultaneously.

So I have a question for the electronics gurus.
Could I use an USB A to A cable to be able to power the tablet AND transfer data at the same time through the micro USB port? Could I use an Easy Transfer Cable for the same purpose? Which one would or would not work and why.

Probably not. The tablet will use the port either for power or for hosting a slave device.
I'm on my phone so if I make mistakes, blame Sportsguy83
