Check out any tire size calculator online to see the difference. Such as: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator Someone on here made a tire/wheel fitment page specific to our cars. It might be in one of the stickies.

Thanks for the info.. saved me from making a silly mistake on my tire selection. You said you run spacers but other people on these boards seem to not like running large spacers, I assume they negatively affect the handling?

I'm completely new to the wheel world and needed help. I'm interested in putting on enkei nt03+m 18x9.5 +40. My FR-S is used as my daily driver and I only plan on lowering with springs. I'm interested in a squared set up and want to avoid any issues related to rubbing/fitment. What tire size would you recommend? Will these wheels fit with lowering springs or would I need to consider coil overs? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

I plan on ordering Rota Torques(5x100/e48/56.1) w/ Ventus V12s(225/40/18 FRS) all around as soon as my income tax gets in, will I have no issues with that setup? Also, will it be flush with my sidewalls or would you guys recommend any spacers?

Look up Jive Turkey and King Tut. Their threads have useful info for this sizing.

Just do the math. Same offset as stock, but one inch wider. That means only 1/2" bigger outside and 1/2" inside. I was on 17x9 +28 wheels at stock height and slightly taller tires (235/45-17). No rubbing anywhere. These fenders have tons of room. And yes, your intended setup will have more than enough room in every direction, aside from the fact that those springs are arguably too low. Pro Kit would be a better handling setup, whereas Sportlines are more about looks. There are threads on this topic as well.

They will fit but you will need coilovers. We set up a car with the same riom and 265's without the owner reporting any rubing. we run 275's |

18x10 +44 245/35R18 with RS*R lowering springs = almost 2" lower. Without fender mods.
