So when you install the OFT, it probably won't be able to match your "stock" ROM with any of the actually stock ROMs in it's database. This means that it will not be able to automatically generate compatible tuning files. So you will have to load them manually. And if you want to run the new v1.5x tunes, you will need to download your "stock" map off the OFT and email it to me so I can add it to the database (.dev) file. I'll then post up an updated .dev file for download
Care to explain this a bit. Tonight I will flash back to my stock rom provided by my tuner. Do you need a copy of this or does it need to go through the otf first? Let me know so I am ready

If its an Ecutek "stock" rom the tuning parameters are returned to stock specifications but their is a small "signature or license info" in the ROM presumably for ecutek to detect that its had an ecutek tune or license info ect.

Hence the ROM provided is not 100% the same as stock if you look with a HEX editor, but will perform in the car as a "stock" ROM. This signature/licience info is put in an area unused by the stock ECU but presumably it looked for by Ecutek software

however this extra info is enough for the OFT not to recognise its as a "stock" rom, so shiv will need to add it to the database, I believe they are working on a "stock" rom overwrite/upgrade feature to be released soon

Can average around 6.5 l/100km too work and 7 on the way home diving like a "nun" on stock ROM (no offence to nun's intended)

With 1.5x tune it was actually better by about 0.5 litres per 100km. both ways ie 6 and 6.5 l/100km

Attribute that to better low down torque so can pull higher gear I have manual was pretty hot too 100F day.

You can certain use our custom tuning service to dial in a particular map for your large MAF housing. But I think that's a waste of money since there is no benefit to 3" intake in an NA car.
Shiv one more question, what about EL high performance Aftermarket Header like Nameless/JDL/HKS?
Will you revise the stage 2 EL maps in some way, so that who bought these kind of headers will at least take advantages of these add-on?

I know you sell OFH and it's UEL etc. but I think a good chunk of ppl that use or will use OFT will buy nameless/jdl v2 EL header as well. Did you think about it?

There are OTS tunes specifically for aftermarket EL headers already, I'm sure shiv will continue to refine them with feedback from owners.

Why would he need to revise those maps since he's already made stage 2 maps for EL aftermarket headers? IIRC the first car he tuned for stage 2 had aftermarket EL headers then he started developing the OFH, which is why there is a distinction between EL and UEL stage 2 maps. One is optimized for EL then other for UEL.

I'm running a FA20club.com Equal Length Header with OFT v1.54 Stage 2 successfully, FA20club.com EL header is catted as well, going to remedy that soon with an uncatted header pipe from FA20club.com

If you read the release notes on the maps file it says: E85 EL map to be used with stock header running just E86.

Unless i read it wrongly I would say that the map
Is not really extracting the advantage of very good headers like NP/JDL/HKS.

The UEL map are much more refined in my opinion compared to EL one.
If I'm wrong shiv will of course explain it.

By the way what happened at shiv vendor tag?

You are reading it wrong. There was testing done that showed running the stage 2 EL E85 maps was safe to run with the stock headers but it was designed for running with catless EL headers. Shiv has spent a considerable amount of time on the UEL maps lately but all the refinements on the learning and etc was also included in the EL maps as well with this latest map release.

As for his vendor tag being removed, the same thing happened a couple weeks ago. Its most likely a forum bug.

How can you flash it back to stock if read/write doesn't work. Not sure I follow. But I can probably help you with more info.
