If there is too much movement of the engine when tq is applied.. That's power that is lost and not being transmitted to the ground.
Mounts that are too hard and tight will transmit Too much NVH to the cabin.
OEM mounts are usually a compromise in NVH vs performance..

This is a perfectly valid point by Hawaiian. How many of us are going to be able to get a solid months worth of custom tuning??? I'd say ZERO.

So I think it would not be unfair to say the dynos we eventually see will not be "real world" for the majority of us.

Its like saying Joe runs a 5k 5 minutes faster than Dan. Sure on the surface it looks like Joe is freaking awesome. Then you find out Joe has been training 3 times a week for a solid month and Dan trained a little the day before. Of course Joe is going to outrun Dan.

You guys really think it's been on the dyno this whole time? A lot more likely is that dyno time has been interrupted by the fact that John shares the dyno with others, has other work to do on the dyno himself, and is out of town this week. This is not Nameless' dyno. It isn't even John's dyno. The idea of paying for a MONTHS worth of tuning/dyno rental is so preposterous. The reason this is taking so long is Nameless has a third party doing the tuning and testing. That third party is a busy guy who is in high demand. Nameless is probably getting a friendly rate, but is at the bottom of his priority list as a result. You guys just like pissing and moaning.

Manufacturer dynos are a no-win scenario anyway. If the header is truly done, send it to a few reputable third party tuners and have them post their impressions. Moto-east, drift office, jr, delicious...

I seriously hope they aren't sitting on a finished product to provide some super customized in-house dyno sheet.

They are developing a motec stand alone as well as ecutek tune solution for the header which will be available somehow. I dunno if it will be open and free or what. I doubt they are going to pull some bleeding edge dyno glory crap on us. My guess is the numbers we see will be on the tunes they plan to sell/make public. This takes time. They don't need to provide anything to third party tuners to help sell their header. The people who buy it will provide that for them in time. These guys didn't spend this much time developing only to get one or two production runs sold. They expect it to stand up to third party tests and keep on selling for a long time to come. Odds are info is also going back and fourth with cosworth which is going to take some time too. Yes it would have been nice to have something to chew on by now, but the rash of shit they got over a garbage road and track article probably made them take a more measured approach to giving info out.

I'm pissing and moaning but I can assure you I am ready (and waiting) to buy. Look at my list of current mods and then planned mods, my list is not finished yet and I have more than enough $$$ waiting to be spent.

I am just impatient.

Right now I think its really between Nameless and JDL for me.

I really am not in too big of a rush especially reading up in the forms lately on all the tuner problems going on out there.
