I looked at your stock ROM and it is identical to the stock ROM in the database so it should work like everyone else. Did you delete (press the red X button) all of your existing modified ROMs in the Upload Data section of OpenFlash Manager? And after X-ing them out, did you press Start to upload the new changes to the OFT? If not, that is the problem.

Once they are all deleted, just load the v1.54 .dev file and connect the OFT to your car. Go to Tuning and then to Write. It should be selectable and you should see 5 tune file options to choose from.

Thank you! 'Write" button is working, bot now OFT offers me to write all A01G roms and it seems suggests that i have now Stage 2 EL in my ECU (as this file marked with *). I am a bit scared to load 01G file to my 00G ECU - will i be able to start then? And will i be able to load my original 00G ROM back to ECU if
i write it with 01G now?
Please advise if i should still write 01G tune if OFT allows me to.
Cheers,
Andrey

The OFT doesn't remember the file you last loaded, only the memory slot that it came from. So that is why you are seeing the * where it is. In cases where you just loaded new maps to the OFT, this * is meaningless.

Go ahead and upload, everything will be fine. Your original ROM (A00G) is still saved on the OFT. So you can still go back to it when needed

Just figured it out and in the process of writing I noticed I had the exact same problem as Cross, my FW version was reported as 1.21 in the upper right corner of OFM while the Download and Upload windows reported 1.14. I restored the car to stock rom, reset OFT, reinstalled OFM, and read the stock. Not sure if all those steps were necessary but it looks like it worked!

shiv@vishnu Still having trouble with my OFT since my last post on the 9th of Jan. Emailed you yesterday with more details but to just summarize here. I cant communicate with the car as it gives me a "Tuning file mismatching" error. I cant erase the OFT device as it gives me a "cant erase device until original is written to ecu". I cant upload or download maps to the OFT as it gives me "error 0x63 while communicating with the device". I also cant download the log from the device (it starts downloading then stops and the software freezes).

What I can do is connect and view live data, download datalog files in openflashmanager, upload DEV files to the device.

I have been trying by uninstalling the software and reinstalling, tried another PC, waited for an update which came out 1.06 but still the same problem remains. I do need to get this sorted asap. Please help.

4 degrees, the coldest it has been since I started running e85. It took about 5 tries to get it to fire this morning. It wanted to each time but just barely couldn't.

Also, is it normal that LTFT goes to about +4% when at idle but -10% on low load cruising?

Shiv,

I took my car in for service at the dealer yesterday because my car had been randomly having trouble starting and throwing a code (P0193). Was using the 1.42 beta map but flashed back to stock before taking it in. The code seemed to indicate a fuel pump problem from searching online, but the service manager said they couldn't find anything mechanically wrong and flashed an update to the ECM citing an "out of range error".

I got home, wiped the tablet with the OFM software, and read the stock ROM on the car. Previously I had an ZA1JA01C ROM, and after the update it's showing ZA1JB01C.

Is it possible that the trouble I was having was related to the 1.42 ROM? My plan for now is to leave the car with the stock ROM for the next two weeks or so and see if the problem went away, if so I'll flash the latest release out by then.

My experience brings up an interesting question...if someone has a very old ROM type, could they simply go to the dealer and get their ECM updated to a more recent type and potentially have an easier time flashing with OFT?

Been driving v. 1.5 whole day long, done 100 miles at least.
And i have to say it feels good! I almost hear how wide my valves are opening on 3k-4k range (if this is not my header gets unbolted). Waiting for ECU to learn more to receive more better feelings. Despite i flashed A01G rom into A00G ecu it is working well.

Thank you, Shiv!
You are leading us onto right direction, i guess.
But please make Adv.Multiplier logging option available for G-series too.

Flashing A01G is an upgrade as you got the improvements that the factory implemented to fix the DI seals issue.
