I believe it is. I THINK the lower the offset, the more of a concave? I could be completely wrong though.

It depends a bit on the Manufacturer. Some of them (most of them) only change the thickness of the wheelhub inside (that side that is mounted towards your car) so you dont see any changes from the outside. Some of them do change the Wheelhub from the outside, so you would have a deeper Wheelhub in the middle than normally (Only the part around where the lugnuts go in, not the whole wheel design)
I have not yet seen a wheel design that acutally the concave face has changed with the offset. (there may be out there, but I have not seen any yet)

Is this setup free from rubbing? any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Offset is missing to answer that question. Any offset around +35-40 will be fine.
The tires will be streched abit, you may want to think about 245/35/18 if you rather want a flush sitting tire on your wheels.

Also note that it will ad a bit "offroad" look to the car, so you may want to think about lowering it 1" or so. (wider wheels will add to the stock offroad look even more)

Will fit. You may want to add some camber so the wheels are not poking out that much in the front, but you will have no issues with rubbing either way

On Stock suspension this is really tight to the inner struits. I do recommend to take a +35 or a +38. (Still, I GUESS that +42 should work out, but im not 100% sure. The +35/+38 work however 100% sure on that)

Tires are 225/40/18 if you want it cheap and dont mind a bit strech, or 245/35/18 if you can afford a bit more and like to have a flush sitting tire on your wheels

As in 8.5 wheels, it will just look way more offroad because of the agressive wheels.

Looking at a set of Rota Torques, 17x9 et 30.
Will this rub at full turn? I'm looking at using 225 width tires - Too much stretch?

This is all on stock suspension (and I don't plan to drop or change it)

Thanks!

Hi guys,
Im looking at buying 18x9.5s on all corners for my 86.

i was hoping to get it lowered on eibach sportline springs, is this possible or do i need to have coilovers to pull this off...

Im not sure what offset or tyre size i should be looming at too...

Any help would be great thanks!!

Offset is important in that question. If you take +35 or +38 you're fine, however there will be 5-10mm poke in the front if you dont add camber. Tires you should go for 245/35/18 in that dimension

Well, you can run this setup, but be aware of the following:
-The Wheels will poke out, specially because you're not changing your suspension. Expect about 10mm in the front, and 6-8mm in the rear
-225 will strecht quiet a bit. If you want to drive it spirited you should consider taking 245/40/17

On my car, with 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 both with 45 offset, the fronts are inset more than the rears.

The rears are perfectly flush, but the fronts could use maybe 5-10mm spacer to be perfectly flush.

Not sure if "poke" means inset, or sticking out past the fender, but in any case, the rears seem to be further inset than the fronts.
