About fitting that 275 wheel in the rear with that wheel - I have no clue, as I never would try something like that so I have no experience with those dimensions. ----------- Short answer: Your Setup is totally crap if you really want to drive this. For show or Drag racing or whatever, it may work, dont know, not my kind of stuff. But if you actually want a good ride this setup is just crap. ----------- Some Ideas: If you just want flush fittment and some wider tires, go for a 8.5" (or 9") +35 wheel and either 225/40/18 or 245/35/18 (if 18" wheel) all around. 225 will look a bit streched, but is cheaper, 245 will sit flushish on the wheel If you just need for whatever reason to go staggered, 8.5 +35 front with a 225/40/18, and 9.5 +35ish with a 245/35/18 will work, however the tires will be just a little bit streched. Keep in mind that Staggered Setups always bring some understeer to the car. Also be aware that you may want to lower the car as it will look offroad style on the stock suspension, even more than now on stock wheels. Also you may work with camber etc but I'm not going into that topic here as otherwise I will write a book.

OK, thanks. What about 17x8 +35. 245/35 as well? I really don't want to lower the car. I just need more contact patch than the stock wheels/tires provide as I'm going FI.

Long (If you're interessted how things work): 245 = 245mm wide tire / 40 = 40% tirewall size the wide (in this case 40% of 245mm, so 98mm) / 17 = tire is for 17" wheels. If you go from 17" to 18", you also have to reduce the tirewall size to compensate for that. 1" is 25.4mm. If you still leave the tire at 40% of 245, your tireflank would be 98mm+25.4mm = 123.5mm, so way to big. Now if you reduce your tireflank to 35%, you will have 85.7mm (thats 35% of 245) +25.4 = 101.1mm, which is almost like 98mm, so the tire has about the same Diameter as before with 17" Thats why it is either 245/40/17 for 17" wheels or 245/35/18 for 18" wheels. Rule of thumb is take 5 off the tire flank for every 20 you put in wide. Take 5 off the tire flank for every " you go up on wheel size. But again, thats just a rule of thumb. Always recheck with a tire calculator or ask someone that knows what he's doing :-)

Will the Enkei Tuning Raijin 18x8.5 +45 squared with Michelin PSS 245/35-18 fit on my FRS. I have Eibach Sportline springs which claim a 1.4 inch drop.

Here's an update. I am now dropped on my KW V3's with the 57 extremes 18x9.5 +40. tire set up is 245/40's all around. I am running -2.91 camber on the rear and -1.6 in the front. I would say I have a nice 2 inch drop with little to no gap (pinkie hardly fits). no rubbing at all, but you cannot go any lower unless you get top hats to get more camber in the front, other wise you will rub on turns as I did when we tried..

Hi, i am interested in gramlights 57 extreme in 18 x 8.5. They come in different offsets. My question is does the offset effect the concave? is so which one has the most concave in the 18 x 8.5? Thanks for any help. I am confused looking at the charts

Im about to pull the trigger on Enkei RS05RR rims but i wanted to make sure first that this setup will be fine with stock suspension/height.
18x8.5 rims tire size: P225/40ZR18 Is this setup free from rubbing? any suggestions are greatly appreciated! |
