Keeping factory cats with header?

Quick question. I am looking to install a borla header but i am skeptical due to komifornia's strict smog laws. Does the borla header allow for use of both factory cats? If not its there any company that caters to us? If a thread exists already for this can someone point me to it? I tried searching but had no luck.
Thanks,
Rob

There's no point to this since CA law states that ANY modification of the exhaust before/in front of the last CAT is illegal. So, even if you replace the OEM header with a catted UEL header, it's still illegal. As retarded as it sounds, even replacing the overpipe is illegal even though you aren't touching the cats - simply because it's located in front of the last cat.

May as well just go with a catless header and catted front pipe if you're concerned about smell. Shrug.

I understand the law as it relates to smog systems. I guess keeping the factory cats gives me some false sense of security for when my smog abatement time is up

...and since the factory cat is inside the OEM header you cannot keep the factory cat with ANY aftermarket header.
