But you sacrifice drivability on the street with more aggressive cams, as this car doesn't have variable lift only variable timing. I'd Like to see what the limit would be on a SLIGHTLY more aggressive cam profile vs. driveablity. Something that will rev efficiently to 8200 and still have enough low end to putt around town. I hear some cam dyno plots will be coming soon.
can you explain to a noob like me what's the drivability issue with aggressive cam profile and no variable lift?

High lift / long duration cams idle like crap (think muscle car with lumpy idle) and aren't efficient at lower revs at all.

Yes I know, I only roughly counted additional costs.
I'm still confused... as to what you're adding up? Are you suggesting the car made 200whp before any mods? If so, you're thinking crank hp. They'll dyno at about 165whp bone stock, so 207 is a healthy ~40whp over stock for the money spent.

He's saying shiv broke 200 whp with just the e85oft and ofh. It was a different car however so it's pretty invalid.

Every stock frs/brz I've dynod make within 3hp of each other. Like all modern nonturbo productions errors, there is very little engine to engine variance. If a stock frs/brz is putting down less 170-175whp on a Dynojet, you either have a weak car (unlikely) or something something that is making it make lower than actual numbers (i.e. running it on low octane fuel, with adv multi set to 0, 3rd gear runs, etc,.) Anytime I see a dyno show a 155-165hp baseline run of a stock frs/brz, I'm very suspicious

I'm only saying it wasn't the same car and can't be used to say $5000 in extra parts only gained 4 hp. Oft/ofh combo on this car could conceivably have made just shy of 200. Who knows. Also as many have pointed out half that money is not seen on a Dyno, but would absolutely show up on the track. I'm a huge fan of oft and Shiv's work, I just don't want to see BS claims/assumptions from over zealous fans cloud the water.
I am eager to see an ofh specific gas tune on the Dyno so I can decide if I get to save a boat load of money or not. . If I wasn't so hopeful about the nameless long tube header development I'd already have the ofh. I love more info from all fronts. It just needs to be logical and when it isn't I will call bs because honest info is what makes shiv and oft my favorite solution.

Flip side of the argument is that oft ofh on e85 could have made 210 on this car. Again my point is who knows.

Would have been nice to see a run w/ 91 and all the mods to compare versus E85.

When you are working on a chassis dyno, drivetrain improvements are reflected in that - the power still has to get through the drivetrain to the roller. The advantage of a lightweight flywheel, etc. may show up more in lower gears than a typical 5th gear dyno pull, but they still exist. It would be interesting to see the delta in a 2nd and 3 rd gear dyno run after pulleys and lightweight flywheel are installed. The peak numbers would not correlate to a normal dyno run, but the changes from lightweight drivetrain would show up better, and would be interesting to see.

Yes, wrxgoose was dynoed at 200WHP with similar bolt ons except he had a 3" Perrin exhaust. He has since gone FI. He was on premium pump gas. I do not remember if it was 91 or 93. It is in his build thread. Of course, all dynos and conditions are different.

What, you're looking at about 160 WHP at baseline? That's about 20% power loss through the drivetrain? So that's about 56.4BHP, I would be proud on increasing the overall power by over 25%. That's something to be proud of for just some bolt-ons.
