Did it list miles on the car? I didn't see it listed. Could be a demo. If under 20 miles (mine had 7 on it when I bought mine) ..... GREAT DEAL.

Bottom line is that the only thing Pure Price means is that the dealer has to sell the car at THEIR advertised and posted price, no more, not less.

It has no relationship to MSRP, and no relationship between dealers. Most dealers do sell at MSRP (with add-ons) but nothing stops them from selling above or below MSRP, they just aren't supposed to negotiate away from their posted price for an individual car.

Does that mean ALL the similar optioned cars at THAT dealership will be offered at THEIR price ... no haggle. The point is .... if a certain dealership offered new cars for around 23K (their pure price) .... then most buyers would discover this and buy from them. Curious if their Pure Pricing changes monthly based on demand and supply. When I purchased my new FR-S .... I was under the impression that the dealership is bound by SCION corporate to establish the price at MSRP which at the time was around 25K.

No, it means if they list a specific VIN at a specific price, they have to sell it at that when you show up, no more no less, unless something is changed about the car.

Scion (and other car manufacturers) can't dictate the selling price in the US since the dealers are independently owned and operated, or at least that's my understanding.

Bottom line, Pure Price, is Pure Marketing, not much else. From Scion's own web page (the bolding is mine):

PURE PRICE - A DEFINITION

Scion Pure Price means the price you see in the dealership, on the dealership's website, or other dealer advertising locations is the price you pay. This applies to the vehicle, accessories, finance rates and insurance products. With Scion Pure Price, you know the price you will pay and you don't have to spend your time negotiating.
WHY USE PURE PRICE?

Our customers told us they want a shorter, simpler process with less pressure - and we listened. With Scion Pure Price, you don't have to negotiate price - or wait for someone to "crunch the numbers."
MSRP VS. DEALER'S PRICE

MSRP is the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price that appears on Scion.com. The price that is shown on your dealer's website, which may or may not be the same as MSRP, is the price you'll pay for your new Scion. Pure Process is a completely transparent pricing system to help save you the time you would otherwise spend negotiating for a "deal."

If you go in there talk to Kelsey Cash. I bought my car from that dealer and he was a good guy.

They will probably push hard for you to finance with them at the price.
