Talking BRZ or 2014 WRX/STI

So i was reading up on autoguide.com and i noticed they had some spy shots of the WRX.

And I was wondering if you guys were in the market for a BRZ or WRX, which would you pick? They're different in price range but remember that the extra money on a WRX can get you some extra mods on the BRZ so which would you pick if you had the money for either one. I personally have most of my heart still with the BRZ. lol

That's a 2015. 2014 continues as it has in the past few years.

lol yes ask an 86 forum if they rather have a BRZ or an WRX

I'm just playing around Jest aside, it's a 2015 like Orb said and I always see the BRZ as more of a secondary car than a primary. I know alot of people own it as a DD. I'm sure a WRX makes much more sense in some states though and it's more practical. Since we know nothing about this next one I can't really say much. Oh and I'm comparing WRX none Sti. cause I wouldn't personally dish out money for an STi been down that road before, just not worth it IMHO.

lol xD well i didn't have anywhere else to ask, going to a WRX forum would probably mean they'll pick the WRX, so why not my fav forum ^^

but i agree with you! i'm so glad the brz and frs can be a great DD as well. Hopefully a performance trim for the BRZ comes out lol

I know its camo'd but from what I can tell from it, it looks really bland like the 2008 WRX.

The front reminds me of an IS300 with a small hood scoop tho.

I hope it isn't bland. I really liked the current generation design. Sporty and elegant all at the same time lol Perhaps the spy shots are covering up some lines and edges we need to see on the production model.

Until Subaru decides to make a WRX in coupe form with a manu-matic gearbox, I'll stick with my BRZ.

That said, if Subaru does actually make a WRX coupe with a manu-matic gearbox, I'll sell / trade the BRZ in a heartbeat.

I sold my 2011 sti for my FRS. Wont go back unless they make a light weight AWD 2 door turbo coupe.

I'd have (I do have) a BRZ-- though I don't see how these two cars are even roughly equivalent to each other. If I wanted a fun sedan I'd probably get a used BMW or maybe a that new 320 thing that's coming out that they were talking about on jalop the other day.

The FRS/BRZ are in a different market then the STi. Even though i sold my STi I bought my fiance a 2013 Impreza. This made it so if it snowed we still had an AWD vehicle and still had a ride to timberline on mount hood in the middle of a snow storm.... The FRS/BRZ served as a better DD. Would I drive the FRS in the snow? Personally I have no need to and would keep it parked. I don't know why people compare these cars. Two different markets; two different cars.

*Edit* I must admit though my Sti was killer fun in the snow. Killer fun in the dry. But I got tired of getting 240Miles per 16gallon tank. I'll take my 310 miles per 14 gallon tank any day of the week as long is it's not snowing.

i'd give you a thumbs up on that too xD i actually want a manu-matic on a WRX lol more options. I really don't understand why they wouldn't, i mean i guess people in a America prefer the Manual for the wrx and sti but more options make a bigger market

they don't have to be related, it can just be opinions. Not necessarily reviewing the car but rather just seeing what you would choose. Lol also not in the same price range, but it's still up there. Just something fun to do lol

like i said above, it's for fun, not a review lol. You can always compare anything ^^ you can put the FRS over the Accord Coupe, one is practicality the other is more sporty, which is your preference. Same concept lol

If the WRX came with some sort of automatic transmission, preferably a dual clutch, I would very much consider getting one, but as of right now with the manual only option it's not even a consideration. Though sadly that spy shot of the WRX really looks nothing like the WRX concept car Subaru just recently showed, which is sad because that concept looked amazing.

Drive them both.

They are such completely different cars that you will know which one you want at the end of the drive.
