Quick question when you say the AUX doesn't work with 2013 HUs do you mean I can't plug in the audio to my front AUX port with my 2013 HU?

nope. thats y i bought the 2014. on the 2013 bespoke, all it does is work with the bespoke app/cable combo. from what i hear it was somehow reworked to do the video for that app. it's really stupid as that is a mandatory feature on a modern car for me

i tried to find a way to do an RCA to bluetooth setup but ran into a dead end. the only way i found to do it was with the old school scanners u plug into a lighter, pick a radio station, and stream. but that sounded like crap

what if you ran an extra battery and hid it under the trunk floor to power the 360?

idk if it would fit with my spare there, but i still use the 360 in my house a lot so would b a waste to go that extensive. i know others will probably expand on this so i'm just curious to see what others do

Another easy way to do this with only 1 wire is a jailbroken iDevice...

I'm currently using my jailbroken iPad mini, mirrored over my HU display. It can play SNES, NES, Playstation, etc. etc. using emulators and then you can pair a Wii controller (bluetooth) to it for your controller.

Clean, simple & effective

I have a 5s as well but it's better to do it on a device you don't take out of the car anyway...I would suggest a cheap older iPod touch...Will work the same but can be jailbroken (as long as it's not on iOS7)

I mirrored it using the Digital AV adapter from apple (HDMI) + Lightning power cable...Keep in mind not all HUs have HDMI input so you would need to check the specs on yours (or just take a look)

It's nice because you can also use AppRadio through the Digital AV adapter and use apps like CarMediaPlayer (awesome) when you're not using it for gaming

oooo. ya i can't do that. i did all this with the OEM 2014 head unit. obviously aftermarkets make this easier, but this was just to show possibilities with the OEM and that they aren't as useless as some ppl say, but thats def a nice approach u took

Yeah I'm glad you found a solution that uses the OEM because I know a lot of people who would probably want this without paying for an aftermarket unit.

Bugs me that they chose to put such a restrictive unit in the twins...At least BRZ can take nav/rear cam...my FRS (pioneer non bespoke HU) couldn't take anything!! So I just had to swap it out - and soooo glad I did.
