Will 245-40-17 fit on 17x8 +35 rims with no rubbing or should I stick with 225-45? Stock springs and no intention of changing them. Could I do 225-45 up front and 245-40 in back or would it look weird on 8" rims? TIA

That's because I have searched for this setup and haven't found it that I ask. The only guy saying he has tried it is Slance86
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...1&postcount=47
He had 18x9.5 +38 wheels, stock coilover, and Eibach Sportline on 235/40/18.

An wheeldude has the 255/35/18 setup on stock coilover and Eibach Sportline with no issue

That's why I asked if someone else has already try this setup because I will try this one in max 10 days, my Sportline springs are already in shipping process.
Without any drop, there are no issue at all with my 18x9.5 +38 Rota Grid on my 235/40/18, and I hope Slance86 is right when he says there is no rubbing issue with some drop with Eibach Sportline springs. I doubt but I hope. I got Camber bolts too to see the limit of that setup.

Has other one guys, I like the concave it make in that wheel setup. I hope it will be ok because it would be cool to get this setup

Thank you all of you for all your answers on that thread, it's very helpfull
Hi everybody.
Just got my sportline springs install yesterday. I have no coilover. I am running rota grid 18x9.5 et38 with 235/40/18 all around and there is no issue for the moment. And I love the look this setup is giving to the car.
There is only 1 or 2 mm between the struts and the tire but it's ok. What you have to do to be sure to stay align is to mark the front bolts before get them out so you can reinstall them exactly as the were.
I hope it will help

Yes, no issues.
I'm pretty much on the same setup but +35. Go with the 245/35R18 as it gives you the perfect diameter and better suited for that wheel.

Edit you could run 235/40 on the 9" all around also
I am interested in these same wheels with 18 235/40 or 225 square on stock suspension. I like the concave look what offset can I get without any poke.
Square and Staggered.
Thank you

This is a great thread. I have two different setups in mind it just depends if I want to be patient or not lol
1st - is cosmis XT-206R 18x9.5 +10 with a 15mm wheel adapter tires 245/40
2nd (me being patient) - same rim/size but +35 5x100 no adapter 3mm spacer F, 5mm spacer R
FYI this rim does have concave
Lowered possibly 1.5 not sure right now.

Confirming that my 18x10 +44 fit with no problem on kw v3 coils w stock drop from kw factory. Camber was left the same as my 18x9.5 +38 setup. Gotta admit the setup now looks cleaner! Hope this helps.

@ft86me how much camber did you have? About how low are you? Have you or are dialed in yet or keeping it where you had last? Are you comparing your setup to my 1st plan, 2nd plan or both?

Oh I was just confirming that my setup fits for people that are wondering. For your setup I'm not sure what settings you will need.
