Cutting the wiring harness is not a big deal.

More worried about having to mod the fuel pump assembly

The modification needed to be done on all up to date FP's only needs to do a simple cut to the regulator to separate it from the OEM filter. It is easier to do and to return to stock if needed later on than soldering/cutting cable.

When pumps first started to be sold it was a bit more involved as the canister itself would not close with the bigger pumps, but those issues have already been addressed and all available FPs don't require any more modification than separating the regulator from the OEM filter.

Currently two options exist:

1.) Use the supplied Pig-Tail and splice the power/ground wires off the harness. (5 minute job with a crimp tool)

I will work on creating a simple plug-n-play harness for the community.

2.) Buy the DW FR-S/BR-Z Install Kit for $21 at Summit Racing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dwk-9-1010/

Their pump uses the Denso style plug, so it would be plug-n-play and cross compatible with this pump.

For the time being, the DW Install Kit for the FR-S is $21 at Summit Racing. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/dwk-9-1010/overview/

Awesome. I didn't mean to say it was hard, I agree with you soldering/splicing is way easier than actually doing the install. Good to know the DW kit is available to purchase aside from the pump itself as that does provide the plug and play connector. Great detail that you will work on providing one from SBD.

Desno quality FP is unmatched.

Does anyone have any info on how this pump compares to the DW65c?

Also the pics above are a tad hard to read the exact measurements, do you have any documentation thats easier to read? I did a quick search and find lots of info on Chinese ones so I would love to know the real specifications incase the Chinese aren't exact.

All of the Chinese Pumps, including the DW65c, are based off of the 38mm Denso pump design. (Denso has been making this body style for many, many years.)

Externally the Denso 38mm Casing appears identical to the DW65c, and is the same overall dimensions both width and length.

Also carries the same power plug, so it's compatible with their Plug-N-Play harness.

There are some things you can skimp on money wise, fueling is not one of those areas.

With that said, I put my faith in Toyota/Subaru in selecting Denso as their fuel pump supplier. Speaks volumes to me, just as Nissan selected them for the GTR.

You can't beat their quality and reliability track record.

They are the undisputed world leader for a reason.

If anyone is in the market for a fuel pump upgrade, shoot me a PM.

I'm eager to get some of these pumps in cars to gather additional data/feedback.

Do you still sell the 290 LPH pump?

No, we don't buy or resell any of the Chinese made fuel pumps at this point.
