Any news on the state of your old engine internals?

I can see how the most fun way may not be the quickest, or most "responsible" way. If you have the time and money, then straight up custom,
no compromise hp (with a sprinkling of reliability) build would be the most awesome. Especially from a forum readers standpoint

I won't have time to tear down for a bit. I'll likely build my entire shortblock first, then tear the motor out and do a full inspection & "hopefully" send my heads off to be cleaned up and install some new valvetrain. I'll be posting a full teardown thread with detailed pics when it happens. The only way for the community to learn is by popping a few motors.

And still a few small quirks I'm trying to get around for reliability. This is just such a new platform there are so many "lets flip a coin on it" scenarios. I am trying to keep it some what reasonable on price but there are a few parts we just have no idea how they will handle so i'll be doing way overkill or coating / treating them just as an extra precaution which gets very expensive very fast. e.g. currently the build plan includes 1,200HP rods, and the rod bearings will cost ~300-400 after coating / treatment. Just spoke with ARP finallllyyyyy some updates on head bolts but its 4-6 weeks from being done. So I'm really in between just picking up another vehicle for 60 days and ordering custom pistons & wait for ARP head bolts. Dynasty has some head studs by another company but they are pretty spendy, their engine block bolt kit comes up ~$900-$1000 =/

And yes ohm nom nom E85 ALL THE THINGS!
I've been getting what seems to be a fuel cut in first gear wot around 6k. It's happened a few time in the past couple weeks. No cel. I've got to try and duplicate it while logging to see what the car is doing. Have been fearing it was something related to e85 and gunk but not sure. I have almost 15k on ethanol only with this car so curious to see what the deal is. So there are no in line filters already installed stock?
