The fix we do on the Subaru Impreza is to replace the siphon side of the tank with a fuel pump. This way you will keep the surge tank full much more aggressively.

The popping sound is the engine running lean and misfiring. You may need to be full at Button Willow. Next time start full and follow uo with us.
Holy shit. Ive had the same issue with my car and DI seals. 2 different DI's went out within a month of each other.

By the way I am running a pump on the siphon side on my FRS race car and I can run very low without fuel starvation now even with slicks and downforce.

Can you provide a link to the post/part(s) required to fix this? I was out at the track this past weekend and kept running into the same issue... sweeper to the left with a transition to right and, boom, complete loss of power due to fuel starvation. Had all the nannies off. Definitely want to get the issue squared away before next track day. Thanks!

Bump. If it's a simple solution, what are the parts needed? thanks

I agree fuel starvation and not only will it happen in corners it will on a hard launch too. One night at the drag strip it happen to us and about 4 out of 7 passes the car fell on its face going into second gear, I even had a half tank of fuel. I was pulling 1.17G's on the launch and the fuel system couldn't stand it. So it looks like 1G in any direction you are going to run into it.

Old thread but new issue for me. At least 3 times at Sebring, twice at T11 sweeping left and once at 7 the hairpin right I had the limiter kick in just under 6K. Backed off the gas and everything was fine again. This happened first 2 sessions on Sat and never again.
