I can almost guarantee this is a bad tune. They pushed it to the limit, knowing it would break so they can sell rods & pistons.
I know some people who know the Crawford shop quite well and they don't trust anything they do. Apparently Quirt is kind of a shady guy. Sent from my iPhone

Sure, understood. I didn't mean to sound like I was saying you were being sensationalistic, I was referring to the original post in FB.

@OrbitalEllipses nailed it. From personal experience, 90+% of the industry is so freaking shady its not even funny.

These are the answers I like to see! Now I don't feel stupid for commenting on their picture calling it a bad tune lol they seemed a little upset about it. Say you get 200hp off e85 and bolt ons, you're telling me I'm at risk for throwing a rod? No way, I used @FT-86 SpeedFactory as an example of a car running perfectly fine.

I don't think shady is the right word but I definitely agree there could be alternative motives at play here. And no matter what they are a business so they are in the business of selling parts.
My only experience with them was purchasing a stage 2 kit (mail order) years ago for my STI, everything was high quality and as advertised there. This could just be a fluke faulty part also
